The Dodgers and Cubs will meet in the second of the seven game playoffs series in Chicago this morning. The Cubs ended the Giants’ season dominantly over the weekend and they stamped their intentions of another strong showing in their Championship Series with the Dodgers; running out 8-4 winners in Game 1 yesterday. The Cubs are simply over the odds at their current quote in head-to-head betting markets.
The Vancouver Canucks host the Carolina Hurricanes this afternoon. the Canucks registered their first win of the season with a gritty 2-1 triumph over Canadian rivals the Flames in their last start, while the Hurricanes were unable to defeat the Winnipeg Jets in overtime. The Canucks are another team that are overs in head-to-head markets and are a tough prospect for any team on the road.
Czech Lukas Rosol begins his Kremlin Cup campaign against Austrian Gerald Melzer tonight, and is a clear and justifiable favourite to progress to the second round. Melzer has climbed to a career-high 72 in the world following a number of positive tournaments and results, but Rosol in current touch is perhaps a bridge too far for the Austrian. Regardless, he looks good for at least a set and subsequently, backing exactly three sets to be played could prove a lucrative option.
The 2016/17 Greek Super League is still in its infant stages, but the table is already beginning to take shape. AEK Athens enter this match off the back of a resounding 3-0 loss, albeit to league leaders Olympiacos in 6. Their opponents early Tuesday morning, Larrisa, were held to a draw away from home last week but registered a standout 1-0 win over Olympiacos the week prior and are playing with plenty of confidence. They are subsequently our best bet of the day.
