The 2016 rugby league season is finally set to come to a conclusion in the early hours of Monday morning when Australia and New Zealand do battle in the Four Nations Final.
Australia have dominated the tournament to date and will start this clash as clear favourites, but you can never rule out New Zealand in a big game and it would not surprise if this clash is closer than anticipated.
Will Australia secure the Four Nations title or can New Zealand claim an upset?
Australia have been just about flawless during the 2016 Four Nations to date and they head into this final with plenty of confidence following comprehensive victories over Scotland, New Zealand and England.
Their rivals have been able to keep in touch with Australia for at least a half, but the brilliance of Johnathan Thurston and Cooper Cronk has proven too much for their rivals and they are set to be crucial to their sides chances once again.
New Zealand were truly horrid for the majority of their clash with Scotland and they could arguably be considered lucky to have come away with the victory.
It is fair to say that the conditions did not suit them, but they really should be able to grind out a victory over a side that they have such a clear class edge over.
It really looks as though New Zealand have had enough at the start of what has been a very long season and it would not surprise if Australia completely threw off the shackles to put on an absolutely dominant display against their rivals.
The line has been set at 10.5 points and if Australia produced their best against an unmotivated New Zealand they should be able to cover that margin comfortably.
