Daily Racing Tips – Monday 3rd July

Taree - Race 2 12:50pm AEST
No. 2 Biscuit Time

Biscuit Time returned to the races for a smart win at Cessnock three weeks ago and will only improve into this race. While undoubtedly amongst weaker company, the horse mustered a big turn of foot in the final straight to win with complete ease and will relish a step up in distance this afternoon, as well as a 2kg weight relief. Kris Lees’ stable is absolutely flying and with half the field for this race scratched, Biscuit Time will be tough to run down.

Mildura - Race 4 2:30pm AEST
No. 3 Lord Flynn
Each Way

Lord Flynn should carry plenty of benefit into his second career starts this afternoon and represents terrific value as an each way bet. The Widden Valley gelding worked home from the tail of the field to finish fourth at Donald on debut a fortnight ago, amongst company that was undoubtedly stronger than this. Jockey Harry Coffey has plenty of options from a wide draw.

Mildura - Race 6 3:30pm AEST
No. 7 Yulong Xiong Ba
Tip of the Day

Yulong Xiong Ba has not been far away at his two most recent starts and is set for a return to winning form at Mildura this afternoon. A smart winner at Mildura first-up in April, the Sepoy colt failed to fire amongst strong company at Oakbank, but has since finished third in a pair of Victorian metropolitan races. In-form hoop Dean Yendall takes the ride and Yulong Xiong Ba probably won’t be offered another chance of a return to winning form as good as this.

Mildura - Race 7 4:00pm AEST
No. 10 Dunga's Dude

Dunga’s Dude has shown plenty of ability throughout his racing career and is more than capable of winning at Mildura this afternoon. Having trialled well, the Onemorenomore gelding returned to the races for a convincing win at Swan Hill on June 10th; beating a notable field including the likes of Attack The Line and Soldier’s Image. Dunga’s Dude will only improve into this race and represents terrific value.
