The entire racing world’s attention was focused on Winx’s historic win in the Ladbrokes Cox Plate at The Valley on Saturday afternoon, but one of the best pieces of punting of the year took place at St Arnaud.

Manhattan Menage had recorded just three wins from his 31 previous race starts and he was beaten at Manangatang last start, so it really wasn’t much of a surprise that he started the St Arnaud Cup at such juicy odds.
He did plenty of work to take up the running and he looked like a sitting duck at the top of the straight, but he just kept finding and he was able to hold-off his rivals to record a very tough win.
This was not only good news for the connections of Manhattan Menage, but also our savvy punter as Manhattan Menage was chased home by Something To Share, Shamkiyr and Magicool.
That’s right – he picked the St Arnaud Cup First Four in order and thanks to Odds Boost Exotic was able to turn $5 into $74,524.33!
