TASMAN BAY (7) led throughout to break her maiden first-up over this course and distance, showing the early speed that has always been a key part of her profile.
The Barry Lockwood & Emma-Jane Vincent-trained mare had trialled well before that return and should take confidence from finally putting one away.
While she now jumps from a maiden to a Class 2, the quick time she ran last start suggests she is up for the rise in class.
With added fitness and the ability to roll forward again, she can take the next step.

SUMMER SENSATION (7) returned in good order at the Gold Coast, chasing well into second after being shuffled back early over 1000m.
The Kelly Schweida-trained filly was tested in stronger races last preparation, including the $500k 2YO Jewel and a 2YO Jewel Prelude at Eagle Farm.
She will strip fitter second-up and looks suited dropping back to non-metro grade.
With race fitness on her side and a softer assignment, she gets her chance to break through.

WONDEREACH (6) begins his first full preparation in Queensland with Jack Bruce after one run for the stable at Eagle Farm before a break.
His trials have been strong, including an all-the-way Doomben win most recently where he looked sharp under Emily Lang.
The gelding has a good fresh record and has done plenty of his best racing with give in the ground.
From a soft draw, Lang should be able to park him on speed and give him every chance first-up.

EXCEED PERFECTION (9) was unlucky when resuming over 1300m here in his first run for Chris & Corey Munce, finishing fifth after striking trouble in the straight.
He has placed in stronger races in Sydney and should take improvement from that first-up run.
The rise in distance suits second-up, with his best form coming over further than 1300m.
From barrier 4, he can settle on speed and get every chance to bounce back.
