Caroline Wozniacki is in outstanding form and she may never have a better chance to record a maiden Grand Slam win. Wozniacki’s form on hardcourts over the past 12 months has been as strong as anybody on the WTA Tour and her return game should prove too strong for Elise Mertens.
Marin Cilic obviously goes into this clash as a deserving favourite, but Kyle Edmund is not without a chance. His hold/break percentage on hardcourt over the past 12 months is just as good as that of Cilic and he was nothing short of outstanding against Gregor Dimitrov. The $3.40 is genuine value.
There is not a great deal between the Perth Scorchers and the Adelaide Strikers, but the outstanding record of the Scorchers in front of their home fans at the WACA can’t be ignored. They haven’t lost a game at the WACA for over a year and backing them in the Big Bash continues to be a highly profitable play.
