Baseball is a funny old game and can be tough to pick sometimes but one Ladbrokes punter had a run to remember hitting a 13-leg multi turning a $4 outlay into an $8418 return. To add a degree of difficulty to this already astonishing win, all 13 games started in a four hour span on the same day. At the end of the day though, it was a perfect Wednesday for baseball for this punter with a massive return on a small investment.
Our Legendary Land started with both Chicago teams in action on the road with the White Sox in Cleveland and the Cubs in Pittsburgh. Cleveland were never really in trouble against the White Sox posting runs in five of the eight innings they took to the plate and coming away 7-3 winners. The Cubs were able to salvage some pride for Chicago in their game against Pittsburgh, scoring all eight of their runs between the fifth and eighth innings to win 8-6.
The day’s first nervy moment came from the heavyweight clash between the defending World Series champions Houston and the “evil empire” New York Yankees, where our punter backed the Yankees, who were behind by two going into the bottom of the ninth. Brett Gardner hit his second home run of the game to tie it up in the ninth before the Yankees scored again in the first extra inning for a walk off win.
Washington came out on top of a low scoring game with four scoreless innings to close out a 3-2 win while the LA Angels and Boston Red Sox recorded comfortable wins. Our Legendary Land went into its tightest leg as the Kansas City Royals needed 14 innings to beat the Minnesota Twins thanks to Alcides Escobar hitting his first career walk off home run. Safe to say there would have been several nervous glances at the box score for that one.
While that game was in its deciding stages, there was another tense finish between the Tampa Bay Rays gave up two runs to Oakland in the bottom of the ninth but held on for a 4-3 win. Arizona had no trouble beating Cincinnati 5-2 while the San Diego Padres used a 4 run eighth inning to top Miami 9-5.
After some tense moments early on, the final leg of our Legendary Land was a relatively straightforward result as Philadelphia opened up an early lead over the struggling LA Dodgers that they would not relinquish. That sealed a perfect 13/13 Wednesday for our punter with this legendary land. What started off as a hopeful $4 outlay at odds of $2104.73 and generated a huge return here.
