10 Other AFL Consultants

Has the AFL completely lost the plot?

There has been talk all season long from the AFL that the modern game wasn’t good enough and needed to change, despite this being one of the most exciting seasons in recent memory, and the AFL have made gooses of themselves again after it was revealed that TV personality Waleed Ally was consulted as part of their investigation into the state of the modern game.

This has obviously been met with a mixture of shock and amusement by the wider AFL community, but we are actually on board and we have come up with ten other celebrities that the AFL need to include in their investigation.

Shane Warne

Shane Warne seems particularly upset that Waleed was included by the AFL – he called Ally an arrogant cretin in a tweet last night – and we can only assume that this was because Warnie wants to be consulted himself.

Let’s not forget that Warnie played for the St Kilda reserves in the late 1980s and could have been an AFL player if it were not for his incredible leg-spin bowling ability.

Kendall Jenner

What better way for the AFL to get a foot-in in the United States than by getting a member of the Kardashian involved.

If Kim Kardashian get score a meeting with Donald Trump and influence US politics, why can’t Kendall Jenner meet with Gillon McLachlan and influence AFL policy.

Mick Molloy

The AFL seems desperate to include as many Richmond fans as possible as part of their investigation, so why not include the most famous Richmond fan of them all?

Bias could be a problem for Molloy and we aren’t sure that his plan for all Richmond goals to be worth double will be well-received by the other sides in the competition.

Buzz Rothfield

He clearly hates Rugby League, so Buzz may as well give the AFL a helping hand!

Peter Dutton

Peter Dutton is clearly after a new job and he is just as unqualified for this job as he is to be Prime Minister of Australia.

Keith From The Block

Strong work ethic, reliable in a crisis, a firm disciplinarian and a forward thinker

What more do you possibly want from a bloke?

Craig Foster

Craig Foster has been calling for an overhaul to Football in Australia for more than a decade and the FFA hasn’t listened.

Maybe the AFL would have a more sympathetic ear?

Brooke From The Bachelor

She clearly enjoys her sport – even if she didn’t recognise Nick Cummins – and she might be one of the most popular people in Australia at the moment.

I was keen to get Vanessa Sunshine involved, but apparently her negativity would be a bit too much for even the AFL!

Karl Stefanovic

Karl is surely looking for a way to get back at Channel 10 after the whole Lisa Wilkinson fiasco and what better way than replacing Waleed as an AFL consultant.

Fairly sure that Karl is a Rugby League man, but he has never knocked backed a chance to get his head in front of a camera.

Nick Kyrgios

Nick Kyrgios has gotten involved in AFL affairs before – who could forget his memorable Twitter feud with Tex Walker – and he is never shy of an opinion.
