Despite fears that the program would be interrupted by another Peter Dutton and Malcolm Turnbull Liberal leadership spill, the politicians in Canberra finally put the national interest first by letting episode three of The Bachelor proceed.
While Turnbull and Dutton are working the numbers to sure up the votes for themselves, we are back handing out the votes that matter – The Badgelor.
The Bachelor Episode 3 Recap
– Episode starts with the Honey Badger taking Brittany on a single date. They hop on a boat arrive somewhere to play a game called “foot golf” and then pash on in the pool. They also were born in the same hospital, which apparently is the key to finding that special someone.
– Brooke took advantage of having the keys to “the Bachelor pad”. She arrives at the pad one morning, makes him breakfast in bed and proceeds to play some sort of rugby union drill, which involves tackling and then having a pash. Not sure that The Honey Badger learnt that one during his time at the Western Force. Brooke then opens her heart to the Honey Badger about her background and turns out she’s a real sweetheart.
– They cut to the rest of the girls in the house and Tenille – who has gotten incredibly little screen time – was randomly carrying around a potato. Why? We need answers.
– Cass, who dated the Honey Badger at one stage in a pre-Bachy world, is crazy and a stage five clinger. She isn’t coping with the fact that the Badger is interested in other girls, despite being on a program like The Bachelor. The poor girl is getting a little crazy. She gets some one on one time with the Honey Badger and reads a note she prepared earlier about how she feels about him. At some stage, this is going to end in tears.
– Vanessa Sunshine, who clearly hates the Honey Badger, also has a one on one date with him. She still hates him
– The girls who didn’t get a one on one date sit in the Bachelor mansion drinking cocktails and fight amongst themselves. Cat clearly establishes herself as the main “Mean Girl”
– The show ends with a Rose Ceremony. Three don’t receive a rose and leave but one contestant, Cayla decides to break with convention and tell the Honey Badger that most of the contestants are really awful people and that he can do better.
The Badgelor Episode 3 Votes
The Badgelor votes go to the girls judged best on ground by the Ladbrokes social team for tonight’s episode. The Badgelor will not be the girl that wins the heart of the Honey Badger Nick Cummins, but the girl that wins the heart of the Ladbrokes Social Media Team.
1 Vote – Vanessa Sunshine
Let’s make it clear – this woman does not want to be here.
She may have in the beginning, but having the Honey Badger as The Bachelor isn’t Vanessa Sunshine’s idea of finding the man of her dreams.
Vanessa Sunshine is developing an intense rivalry with Cat, which makes for great entertainment, and her staying in the heartbreaker game to piss Cat off was brilliant.
However, it was her single date with the Honey Badger where she really proved her worth for the votes.
She claimed that brunch is a Melbourne only thing, does not like Dad jokes, which is the equivalent of kryptonite for Nick Cummins, and the date was headed nowhere except Awkward-Town.
Even if she doesn’t want to be there, Vanessa Sunshine can expect a few more roses and Badgelor votes throughout this series.
2 Votes – Cat
Watching Cat on the Bachelor is like watching Dustin Martin dashing down the MCG wing and doing the don’t argue.
Despite the fights with Shannon and rivalry with Vanessa Sunshine, Cat is unapologetic about her ways, which is vital for a reality show villain.
Three episodes in and you know that Cat is a reliable performer who can provide entertainment week in week out and will stop at nothing to get the job done.
If there was a SuperCoach equivalent for Bachelor contestants, you’d have Cat as your captain as she’d rack up the points for bitchiness time after time.
3 Votes – Cayla
“I know this isn’t protocol but am I able to speak with you outside?”
Cayla didn’t receive a rose at the end of the program, but she went swinging, breaking convention and ratting to the Honey Badger on her now ex-bachelorettes about how they are only on the show for fame (Who would have thought) and that they are all for lack of a better word “Bitches”.
The Honey Badger clearly felt extremely uncomfortable dealing with this confrontation and couldn’t get “Energy Healer” Cayla in her car quick enough.
If you’re going to leave the Bachelor mansion, you may as well go out in style.
That she did and the powerplay got her the three votes tonight.
The Badgelor Leaderboard After Episode 3
4 – Cat
3 – Cayla, Romy, Alishia
2 – Vanessa Sunshine, Cass
1 – Brooke
Quotes Of The Night
“Are you ready to risk it for the biscuit?”
– Cummins to Brittany before they play foot-golf.
‘“There are a lot of layers there, I think he’s like an onion and I am going to peel it back.” – Brittany on finding the real Honey Badger.
“Landed me on my Garry Jack” – Cummins referring to him landing on his back after throwing the footy around with Brooke.
“I’m not here to hang around with a bunch of annoying bitches,” – Cat making it very clear on what her intentions are in this series.
“From the very beginning Cat and Romy … They aren’t good people. And they’re blindsiding you. Cat and Romy are literally here to be famous. Cat’s been plugging her jewellery. Romy is so fake! Honestly.” “I honestly hope you find a wife in there. Honestly, there’s so much stuff you don’t know going on in this house. Do you want to know who the good ones are?” (Cummins closes the car door, car drives off)
– Cayla to Cummins after she didn’t receive a rose.

If the Liberal Party cause a spill during #TheBachelorAU they really are fucking dead to me. Have they no respect for social norms?

Romy wearing a “the future is female” t-shirt while ruthlessly tearing apart every woman around her is the epitome of white feminism #TheBachelorAU

The Bachelor Betting Market Update
Forget high school sweethearts, hospital sweethearts is where it is at and with that, Brittany is favourite in our market after episode 3 at $1.50 to win the heart of the Honey Badger.
Despite a quiet run in tonight’s episode, Sophie is the second favourite at $3.50 and all-round sweetheart Brooke is great value at $3.75.
Clingy Cass is at $21 to see that her obsession with the Honey Badger is the way to happily ever after.
The established villain of this series, Cat is now at $51 to come out of nowhere and win.
As for Vanessa Sunshine, it’s fair to say the Gold Coast Suns have a better chance of beating Geelong than she does of winning the heart of the Bachelor. She is at $101 and even that would be considered generous.
