The Badgelor – Episode 4

The Badgelor – Episode 4

Episode 4 of this series of The Bachelor was a bit like watching a one sided footy game.

It was fairly one sided, some shots were fired, there was the odd bit of brilliance and an unexpected ending that made it memorable. If you were able to condense the episode down into a five minute highlights package, it would be awesome but sitting through last night’s show was a bit of a grind.

With that in mind, some there was still some solid individual efforts by the Bachelorettes that we deemed worthy of votes in The Badgelor.

The Bachelor Episode 4 Recap

– The show starts with the Honey Badger taking Dasha (The Russian) on a date that involves doing some fly fishing, in what was the first time the sport has been on prime time television since the days of Rex Hunt’s Fishing Adventures. The Honey Badger gives her a rose at the end of it and she seems to be surprisingly likeable.

– In the mansion, the mean girls – Cat, Romy, Alisia, Vanessa Sunshine and Shannon all sit together being well, nasty and then Osher comes in, tells them they have a group date before cutting away to direct pieces to camera where they all bag the crap out of one another. It looked like we were in for another promising performance from Cat, but it was a pretty ordinary night from her.

– The group date ends up being at Allianz Stadium, where the girls play a version of Archey Skirmish. They split into two teams. Cat leads the Blue team called the “Bachy Blues” and Shannon leads a team called the “Red Bears”.

– Osher names several sporting events that have been held at Allianz Stadium and he gets just about every one of them wrong.

– During the game – The Honey Badger gets hit in the jatz crackers. This is always funny.

– Naturally, Cat is in her element, brings out her competitive beast and wins the contest. As a result Cat wins a one on one date with the Honey Badger in the middle of Allianz Stadium.

– A romantic park bench type set up is put in the middle of the Allianz Stadium arena. Cat and Nick do the usual one on one chat and we are SHOCKED to find out that Cat struggles in relationships and has been single for a while. Cat goes in for the kiss with the Bachelor, but it backfires majorly and Cummins clearly isn’t particularly interested.
–
– They all end up back in the mansion. The girls who haven’t done much to gain the attention of the Honey Badger use it as a chance to get a bit of camera time. Blair the PE teacher puts on the gym gear and plays the bad student act. She also uses the word “Moist.” Meanwhile, poor old Cass still isn’t coping with the fact that the man that she loves is up for grabs on national television in a reality dating show.

– The show finishes off with the traditional rose ceremony. Cass worries she’s going to get the old Freo-Heave-Ho but is safe. One of the girls who doesn’t receive the Rose, Steph leaves in style by informing the Honey Badger that she did some personal grooming in order to be part of the show and it really wasn’t worth it in the end.

The Badgelor Votes

The Badgelor votes go to the girls judged best on ground by the Ladbrokes social team for tonight’s episode. The Badgelor will not be the girl that wins the heart of the Honey Badger Nick Cummins, but the girl that wins the heart of the Ladbrokes Social Media Team.

1 Votes – Dasha

The Russian import wooed the Honey Badger when they met in episode one with her acrobatics and she made another big impression on The Bachelor in this episode. She also gave some wonderful insight into her life and turns out she is one of the nice ones with some personality. While I fear she might not go the distance on the show, it was a solid effort with her one on one date and she was able to rack up a vote.

2 Votes – Steph

Despite not receiving a rose at the end of the episode and getting incredibly little screentime throughout the entire series, it was Steph’s parting words about the fact she shaved her legs in order to be part of The Bachelor that earnt her a couple of votes. These may have been the greatest exit/parting words of any television program ever. She leaves with smooth legs and two votes in the Badgelor awards.

3 Votes – Cass

Some might be shocked that we’re giving the three votes to Cass but there’s method to our madness. You see, bar the Mean Girls act that Cat, Romy, Alisha and co are putting on in the Mansion, it’s the story of Cass’ stage five clinging and desperation for the attention of the Honey Badger that is making the show worth watching at the moment. When Cass appears on screen, you ride the emotional roller coaster with her even though you know it’s going to end in tears. Her tears. Cass probably won’t get to win the heart of The Honey Badger, but she gets the three votes. Also, Cass, those dodgy hair extensions have to go.

The Badgelor Leaderboard
