The “Romy Throws Someone Under The Bus Show Featuring The Bachelor” continued last night and it was for lack of a better word – nasty.

We also saw the Honey Badger pitch a tent and spend time in the bush. Grow up.

The Bachelor Episode 6 Recap

– The show starts with a solo date featuring the Honey Badger and Rhiannon. Their date involves going on a hot-air balloon that looks like a love heart although most people reckon it looks like “Big Butt Skinner” from The Simpsons

– When having a one on one conversation with the Honey Badger, Rhiannon blatantly asks him if she can kiss him. The Honey Badger was having none of it. Then for the first time in the series, the fourth wall breaks and Rhiannon talks to one of the producers about how she didn’t get her way. The producer informs Rhiannon that “She’s a girl, you can do whatever you want.” Double standards very much apply in the world of reality TV.

-Back at the mansion, the girls are informed that a select few of them will be going on a group date. The select few – Romy, Cass, Alisha, Vanessa Sunshine and two others who did next to nothing drive out and find they are going camping.

-Romy has quickly established herself as the villain on the program and clearly hates Vanessa Sunshine. To the point where it’s an obsession. Every piece to camera, Romy has is about how she doesn’t like Vanessa Sunshine. Everyone loves Vanessa Sunshine. Not Romy.

-We’re quickly learning that political staffer Alisha is only on the show to do pieces to camera about what’s happening. I honestly don’t think that we have ever seen her interact with The Honey Badger.

-The girls do camp activities with the Honey Badger and Vanessa Sunshine, while not in her element, seems to be able to put a tent up with no problems. She has a one on one conversation with The Bachelor and basically states she hates him.

-Overnight, Romy decides it would be a good idea to blatantly sneak into The Honey Badger’s tent and make it look like she is up to no good. Cass cannot stand it.

-The next morning, Cass seeks clarity from the Honey Badger as to what happened. The Honey Badger informs he wouldn’t do anything like that in a situation he’s in as it would be unfair to the other girls.

-Romy gets back to what she does best and throws Vanessa Sunshine under the bus. She informs the Honey Badger that Vanessa Sunshine is bad news and that she should be gotten rid of.

– The Rose ceremony is held at the end of the camp. Speculation mounts wheater the Honey Badger will give into Romy’s demands that Vanessa Sunshine must go. She does. Romy stays, Vanessa Sunshine goes.

-Vanessa Sunshine doesn’t care that she left. But we do. She hated everything about The Bachelor but we loved her.

The Badgelor Votes

In the early parts of the Badgelor, we handed out votes to Romy for being somewhat entertaining and cunning but her efforts this week on the show has made us re-assess what The Badgelor is all about. Her throwing under the bus of both Cass and our beloved Vanessa Sunshine was nothing short of disgraceful!

As a result, we’ve decided to deduct the 4 votes she had already racked up in The Badgelor and bring her tally back to donuts.

She didn’t care for the Honey Badger or any of the other girls, but she stuck around anyway and made us smile.

2 Votes – Vanessa Sunshine

She didn’t do dad jokes, linner and couldn’t care less what the likes of Romy thought of her. When it came to making an effort at camp, she could put up a tent and do it in stilettos. One wonders what happened with her childhood pet donkey?

3 Votes – Vanessa Sunshine

If the Bachelor were a game of AFL Football this would be a 10 goal, 45 disposals, 35 clearances match-winning effort of her own boot…or in her case, stiletto. Romy would be going straight to the tribunal on a striking charge and unlikely to play another game this season. We’re all devo that the Honey Badger did not give her a rose at the end of the show, but none of the other girls’ efforts quite compared to what Vanessa Sunshine gave us hence getting all the votes after episode six. She might be in a chance to actually win The Badgelor even after leaving the show early. If the producers of the show know what’s good for them, make her the Bachelorette.

No changes to the market after last night’s episode.

Brittany has had a quiet week but remains the punters choice at $1.30

Sophie is still at $3.75 and Brooke is steady at $5.

Cass finally got some solid solo time with Nick, but also remains at $10

Rhiannon’s attempts to pash the Honey Badger has backfired and she is at $13 – unlucky for some.

Meanwhile, Romy is at $51 and there would have to be a stewards inquiry if she were to progress any further. Cat is out to $67.
