Daily Racing Tips – Sunday 1st November

Check out our Sunday Racing Tips for November 1st below, featuring our Mornington best bets.

Mornington: Race 5
No. 5 Invincible Lover

INVINCIBLE LOVER (3) looks well placed to get up today at Mornington.

The I Am Invincible mare was a consistent performer through her debut prep and ultimately broke her maiden at Pakenham in March, while she returned to action this time to fill the minors in BM66 company at Cranbourne.

With natural improvement, from the good draw and under Jamie Melham, she gets plenty of ticks today.

Returns from a five-week freshening after an excellent first-up third in BM66 grade at Cranbourne, where she was bumped early, settled back and still finished strongly to be beaten just over a length by Magnabelle Royale. Her distance record is a major strength, with one win and four places from five starts at 1000m, and she has placed in all six career runs. Proven at 1000m, sharper now and looks exceptionally placed from the gate.

Mornington: Race 6
No. 2 Wonder Boy

WONDER BOY (5) strikes a winnable race at Mornington today.

The Cosmic Force gelding is yet to strike in two runs back, but both have been in strong black type races at Flemington and Caulfield.

Fitter third up and dropping noticeably in class, he can win today.

Has been slow away and well held in both runs this campaign, finishing last in the Listed Weekend Hussler Stakes at Caulfield after making no impression late. The run prior was also plain in the G2 Bobbie Lewis Quality at Flemington, albeit over 1200m and at long odds. This is easier than Saturday company, first-time blinkers go on, and he has won at this track and distance. Can improve now.

Mornington: Race 8
No. 11 Superstock

I thought that this looked a nice race for SUPERSTOCK (7).

While yet to strike in three runs since joining Reece Goodwin’s yard, Superstock has undoubtedly improved and was last see filling the minors behind an impressive Killenaule and Pariah Pearl at Cranbourne last week.

On the quick back up and in arguably a weaker race, he looks well placed.

Mornington: Race 9
No. 2 Kokado

KOKAKO (8) resumes in a winnable race at Mornington.

We haven’t seen Kokado at the races since June, but she returned in plenty of fine performances last time in, winning in BM62 grade before a credible run for fifth in the Group 3 Proud Miss Stakes most notably.

A couple of recent trial performances add confidence today, as does the booking of Jamie Melham.

Returns from a lengthy spell after ending last campaign with an eighth at Caulfield Heath, where she raced wide throughout and was beaten four and a half lengths on soft ground. She had earlier been fifth in the G3 Proud Miss Stakes, and three trials, including a close second at Cranbourne, point to a sound return. Best form reads well for this.
