Nobody’s Puppet was only narrowly denied on debut at Newcastle and she has shown plenty of speed to win two barrier trials at Royal Randwick and Warwick Farm ahead of her return to the races. She shouldn’t have any issues finding the front the wide barrier draw and she is a mare with plenty of upside.
Military Machine finished his most recent campaign with a pair of strong wins at Wyong and Randwick and he is a horse that does run well fresh. His recent trial at Warwick Farm suggests that he is fairly forward for his return to the races and he is another horse that will make his own luck right on the speed.
H Hollydeen has only recorded the one race win, but has generally raced at a much higher level than this contest and this probably the weakest field that she has ever met. She is a genuine short-course specialist and the 800 metres at Kilcoy should be ideal for her. This is her chance to return to winning form.
Kariya led from start to finish to record an impressive win at Sale first-up and she is a mare that still has plenty of improvement left in front of her. She should be able to hold the lead from the inside barrier draw and she will give her rivals something to catch. $4.80 is an excellent price for a mare with this much potential.
