Cat – Out.
Romy – Out.
Alishia – Out.
It was an intense episode of The Bachelor last night as the Honey Badger put his foot down and punted Cat out of the show.
This led to a dominio effect that led to the other two leaving as well!
Which way will The Badgelor votes go? Read on to find out!
The Bachelor Episode 8 Recap
– The episode starts with a group date. The Honey Badger is hosting a swimming carnival because of course he is. The girls who participate are split into houses and they play a game of pool bingo where inflatable bingo balls floated around and people had to catch them. While it’s hardly the Hungary v USSR Water Polo match at the Melbourne 1956 Olympics – Cat plays dirty. I know, I’m in shock too.
– Emily, who’s done next to nothing on the show, wins. She gets some one on one time with the Honey Badger and it turns out Emily is level headed and lovely. She won’t last on a show like this, but somehow she has. She gets a rose.
– Brooke wins another one on one date with the Honey Badger. Cat is filthy about it as she believes she’s entitled to it. The Honey Badger and Brooke head off in a vintage Mustang to a Balinese mansion to meet an artist who paints a portrait of them blindfolded as the two described what they looked like to each other.
– Back at the Bachie Mansion and it’s cocktail party time. There’s a Toga theme. Intruder Brittney starts dancing with no music. It was outstanding.
– As the party gets started, The Honey Badger arrives in full Toga and asks Tenille for a friendly chat. He’s been made aware of the mean vibes going around in what he describes as “a place of love.”
– In what is some the Honey Badgers best HR practice, he asks Tenille to inform who are the mean ones – she puts Cat, Alishia and Romy in the category of mean with Cat being the leader.
– The Honey Badger then proceeds pull Cat aside and sack her. In a Toga. It was brilliant.
– With Cat sacked, there was absolute carnage at the rose ceremony. Romy was offered a rose but knowing that her power base was gone, chose not to accept. Gutless effort by her. She decides that she too should leave the show. Along with Cat and Romy leaving, Alishia does not recieve a rose resulting in the total collapse of the Holy Trinity of mean.
– Intruder Brittney does not get a rose either. It’s a shame because she was highly entertaining.
The Badgelor Votes
1 Vote – Brooke
There’s a reason that Brooke has had three single dates – she’s an absolute sweetheart. Everytime the Honey Badger and Brooke are together, everyone gets them feels and nice ones too. In a climate where this series of The Bachelor has been rather nasty, the time between Brooke and The Honey Badger has been something to make us all smile. She may not be favourite in our market, but she’s favourite in our hearts.
2 Vote – Nick “The Honey Badger” Cummins
While we’re meant to give out votes to the Bachelorettes (Well, there isn’t any serious guidelines to this), the Bachy himself put his foot down and put an end to the Holy Trinity of mean by pretty much sacking Cat on the spot whilst wearing a Toga. As a result of Nick showing some real leadership the cards fell – Cat went, Romy knew she would be eaten alive without Cat to back her up and Alishia didn’t receive a rose and like that the mean girls were all GONE. He also reminded us all that The Bachelor is a place of love, not bullying. This will be right up there with some of his best performances for the Western Force and The Wallabies.
3 Vote – Brittney (Intruder)
She was here for a good time. Not a long time. Two episodes to be exact. But how entertaining was she? From her greeting of “Konichiwa” when stating she had just been to Japan, randomly dancing at cocktail parties without a care in the world and most importantly, getting doggy paddle confused for doggy style gave us all some serious laughs and made up for the lack of Vanessa Sunshine. Two episodes was plenty for Brittney and was a votegetter in every one of them. May she enjoy her next Contiki tour.

Honestly the Honey Badger has never been more attractive to me than when he just said “it’s time to go” about Cat #TheBachelorAU

Hey ladies, being a strong woman and being an ABSOLUTE C*NT for no reason are two completely different things. Don’t get that mixed up. #TheBachelorAU
