One Ladbrokes punter enjoyed a super Saturday at the races with this five leg multi coming off for one of the best Legendary Land’s of the year to date.
Our punter backed three winners at Flemington and two at Royal Randwick to turn a $10 outlay into a return of $58,349.49.
Not a bad afternoon for them really.
The afternoon’s first win came in the UCI Stakes at Flemington.
Savoie started the race as a clear favourite, but our punter elected to back stablemate Extra Brut at $5 and, as it always seems do, it was the Darren Weir outsider that savaged the line to upstage his more fancied stablemate.
Our punter turned his attention to Royal Randwick in Sydney and this is where he added the majority of the value to this incredible multi.
The multi looked in serious trouble when Sesar was tailed off the back of the field in the early stages of the Roman Consul Stakes, but the Queensland-trained galloper showed an excellent turn-of-foot to salute at the juicy odds of $7.70 and keep our punter in the mix.
Leg number three of this Legendary Land was particularly impressive was our punter backed outside Maid Of Heaven to score an upset win in the Spring Champion Stakes. All the money was for Thinkin’ Big and Aramayo, but Maid Of Heaven was able to finish over the top of that duo at the big price of $14.30.
Our punter returned to Flemington and he was now only two legs away from a simply incredible multi.
Avilius was the shortest-priced runner in this legendary land, but there is no doubt that he cause our punted the most stress.
Avilius looked beaten when Jaameh loomed on his inside in The Bart Cummings, but he fought back to claim a narrow win.
That wasn’t the end of our punters’ stress though.
The connections of Jaameh lodged a protest and our punter was forced to endure 15 torturous minutes before the protest was dismissed.
Our punter was now only one leg away from a potentially life-changing win and there was no such stress in the final leg of this outstanding multi.
Invincibella started the Blazer Stakes as a clear favourite and the in-form mare always looked as though she had the race in her control.
She stormed clear from her rivals and our punter was able to spend the last 100 metres of the race celebrating his incredible win!
Five successful selections were enough to see him turn $10 into $58,349.49!
