Legendary Lands – $100 into $22,050

They say patience is a virtue and one Ladbrokes punter embodied that saying with yesterday’s Super Bowl sealing a three-leg Legendary Land.

As a fan getting to enjoy one title is great but this person managed to turn a $100 bet into just over $22,000 and celebrate three championships in the process.

To hit this massive return, our punter backed three title winners with a distinct Boston tinge to this multi.

It started off with the Fall Classic as the Boston Red Sox, the team with the best record in baseball in 2018 claimed the World Series title.

The Red Sox went in to the deciding series against the LA Dodgers and came away 4-1 winners, claiming the decisive game in late October.

The next leg meant enduring a slight wait through to next January although this might have been the least stressful game of them all, with Clemson absolutely plastering Alabama in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

With a chance to tie the game at 14-14 late in the first quarter, the Alabama kicker missed his extra point and that was as good as it would get for the Crimson Tide.

Over the next 30 minutes the Tigers ran riot, outscoring their favoured opponents 30-3 and not even bothering to score in the fourth quarter, instead opting to run out the clock and get to the title celebrations a little bit quicker.

After four more weeks, the third and final leg was finally ready to be decided as the New England Patriots faced the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl 53.

It wasn’t a great watch unless you had bet the under or loved old fashioned, hard nosed defence, or in the case of our Legendary Land, had $22050 riding on the result of the game.

As Stephen Gostkowski kicked the sealing field goal with just over a minute remaining, our punter might have been celebrating just as much as the Patriots locker room with this massive win.
