Warwick Farm - Race 3 2:05pm AEDT

No. 5 Single Bullet

Single Bullet has won two of his past three starts and Gary Portelli has definitely turned this horse around by spacing his runs and changing his training regime. He is no longer a non-winner. There looks to be high speed in the race with Super Too and Memes engaged and he will get back, but the hot speed will suit him.

No. 8 Fiesta

Estijaab is the big query, but has she come back? She had a break after winning the Golden Slipper and went poorly in a trial before she had a tie-back operation. We didn’t get any guide when she tossed the rider in a recent barrier trial, so I am going with Fiesta. Her two recent barrier trials have been outstanding. 1100 metres is probably short of her best, but she has won over 1100 metres first-up in the past.

No. 2 Dawn Passage

I’m going with Dawn Passage in the Inglis Millennium. He came off a very fast-run race at Randwick first-up over 1000 metres and he ran outstanding time. Judging by the way that he ran in a trial before that race, I thought 1000 metres might be a bit short for him. The step-up to 1200 metres looks ideal and he is drawn a bit better than the main danger Accession.
