Daily Racing Tips – Wednesday 13th February
Warwick Farm - Race 5 4.05pm AEDT
No. 3 Common Purpose
Common Purpose returned to the races with a narrow win at Canterbury and he should take good benefit from that performance. He is a horse that has now recorded four wins from his past five race starts and he maps to get a lovely run in transit with Hugh Bowman in the saddle. There is no doubt that he can continue his strong recent record.
Warwick Farm - Race 6 4:45pm AEDT
No. 6 Frankely Awesome
Frankely Awesome made an outstanding start to her racing career in the Spring and she wasn’t disgraced when she was thrown in at the deep end at Group 1 level in the Spring Champion Stakes. There is no doubt that she will be better over further, but class will take her a long way and she can finish over the top of her rivals.
Ladbrokes Park - Race 7 7:00pm AEDT
No. 5 La Tigeresa
La Tigeresa returned to the races with a second place finish behind Clarice Cliffs at Geelong first-up and she could not have been more impressive at Ladbrokes Park last start. She maps to get a lovely run in transit with Ben Melham in the saddle and she is a mare that still has the scope to improve. It is no surprise that she has been well-backed early.
Launceston - Race 5 9.00pm AEDT
No. 4 Mystical Pursuit
The Gold Sovereign Stakes is the feature race at Launceston tonight and Mystical Pursuit looks very tough to beat. She has recorded three wins from as many starts and the scary thing for her rivals is that she has improved each time that she has been seen at the races. She makes her own luck right on the speed and I am surprised that she isn’t odds-on.
