Legendary Lands – $29.25 Into $29,928.22

It was an up and down day for punters at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday.

The Autumn Sun and Seaway got the job done as odds-on favourites, but Golden Slipper fancy Tassort was rolled at short odds in the Silver Slipper Stakes.

Then the quaddie started.

To say that you had to be shrewd to nab the Rosehill Gardens quaddie might be a significant understatement, but one Ladbrokes punter managed to pull it off.

The quaddie started in fairly standard fashion.

Our punter selected three horses and it went to plan as the well-backed Baller got the job done in fairly comfortable fashion.

It was in race 7, the Millie Fox Stakes, where things really got interesting.

I Am Serious started the race as a clear favourite, but our punter went fairly wide in his quaddie and that proved to be the winning plan.

A well-time ride from Kathy O’Hara helped White Sage lead from start to finish to claim an impressive win and the best part for our punter was the fact that it paid $61.

The run of outsiders continued in the Parramatta Cup and it was a host of roughies that fought out the finish in the final stages of the race.

Red Cardinal stormed down the outside at the juicy odds of $26 to bring our punter to within one leg of a simply outstanding quaddie.

It all came down to the final race of the day for our punter and he had All Too Royal, Malahat and Junglized as his selections.

The race couldn’t have panned out better for our punter as Malahat and Junglized fought out the finish, with Malahat finishing strongly in the concluding stages at the nice odds of $9.50.

That meant that our punter finished the day as a winner.

He didn’t get the entire quaddie pool of $213,773 for his troubles, but he was still able to walk with $29,928.22 for his $29.95 investment!
