Zabelarina recorded a smart win at Ladbrokes Park a couple of starts ago and she was not disgraced behind La Tigeresa at the same venue last start. She does have early speed and it would not surprise to see Jordan Childs take her straight to the front in a race that doesn’t have a great deal of pace. She is a great bet to return to winning form.
Columbus Circle has impressed in his two race starts to date. He recorded a smart win at Caulfield on debut and he finished third behind Halvorsen and Hawkshot in the VOBIS Gold Carat at The Valley last start. The form coming out of that race has been very strong and there are no horses of that quality in this field.
Blue Tycoon is not a horse that wins out of turn, but past two runs have been excellent. He has form around quality gallopers like Greyworm and Rox The Castle and there are no horses of that quality in this field. Lachlan King can ride him aggressively from the wide barrier draw and this is his chance to return to winning form.
Cristal Eyes was not disgraced at black-type level as a younger horse and she returned to the races with an excellent with at Pakenham. She still has the scope to improve on that performance and she maps to get a lovely run in transit with Damien Oliver in the saddle.
