Kings Brook returned to the races with a fast-finishing win at The Valley and she should only benefit from that run. Ladbrokes Park is a superior track for her than The Valley and she was not disgraced at black-type level during the Spring. She will need a touch of luck in running from the inside barrier, but should still prove too strong for her rivals.
Golden Halo was not disgraced at black-type level in the Incognitus Stakes and she has been freshened-up since that contest. The form coming out of that race has been very strong and this is a genuine drop in class. If the Your Song filly is able to produce anything like her best form, she will prove tough to beat.
Fanciful Toff was beaten as a short-priced favourite at Bendigo last start, but I am willing to give him another opportunity in this contest at Ladbrokes Park. He is a consistent gelding that never runs a bad race and the wide barrier draw gives Mark Zahra plenty of options in the early stages of this race.
Adana has a poor winning record, but this is the weakest race that he has contested in some time. He was not disgraced in what was a fairly strong edition of the Alister Clark Stakes and he does have form around some talented gallopers. The drop back in trip suits and the presence of Scramjet means that there is a juicy price available.
