Grafton - Race 4 2.35pm AEDT

No. 3 Portuguese Tart

Portuguese Tart does not have a great winning record, but that is an argument to be made that she is racing in career best form. Her win at the Gold Coast a few starts ago was very impressive and she was not disgraced in the Country Championships Qualifier at Grafton last start. The $10 currently available is over the odds.

Grafton - Race 6 3:45pm AEDT

No. 5 Patriot

Patriot returned to the races with a fast-finishing win at Port Macquarie and he has now recorded three of his four race wins over 1000 metres. He is a horse that has won second-up in the past and he doesn’t have to get as far back as he did last start. The $7 on offer is excellent value.

Grafton - Race 7 4.20pm AEDT

No. 3 Subtle Grey

Subtle Grey returned to the races with a tough win at Taree and he was only narrowly denied in the Country Championships Qualifier at Port Macquarie last start. He has drawn a wide barrier, but he does have early speed and he can cross the field to take up the running. He will prove tough to run down.

Grafton - Race 8 4:55pm AEDT

No. 6 Raay Of Time

Raay Of Time was able to record a maiden race win at Grafton last start and she still has the scope to improve on that performance. She maps to get a lovely run in transit just behind the leaders in the early stages of this contest and she will have no excuses not to make it two race wins on the trot.
