Chookster will take good improvement from a fair first-up effort at Pakenham and is up to breaking her maiden at Ladbrokes Park. The Brazen Beau gelding is drawn to receive a lovely run from barrier 4 and the booking of Craig Williams to ride is a positive.

This is a drop in class for Igniting and he will take plenty of beating. The Starspangledbanner gelding won at the ‘Bool when resuming this time and was luckless at his next start at Flemington before hitting the line with intent to finish fifth in the Inglis Dash at Caulfield a fortnight ago. He looks to be in top condition for this race and with even luck, can fight out the finish again.

Affair To Remember flew home to fill the minors when resuming here a couple of weeks ago and is primed to win. The Toronado filly has produced several pleasing efforts last campaign, winning at Geelong and racing well in a couple of black type races, including the Group 2 Sandown Guineas. There is no doubt that she’ll require some luck on Wednesday from a wide barrier, but she is more than up to the class of something like this.

Alessandro needed the run when he finished at the tail of the field first-up from a lengthy spell at Geelong, but there is no doubt that he’ll enjoy good improvement for that effort and has live each-way claims in Wednesday. The Fiorente gelding has returned several pleasing performances and results during his lightly raced career and harbours plenty of upside. He’s drawn well and a win at odds wouldn’t surprise.

Reflect The Stars has returned to the races in excellent condition this preparation and strikes a very winnable race at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday. The Starspangledbanner mare won at the ‘Bool three back, progressing to a credible fifth behind the talented Kentucky Tornado before placing second to Grand Promenade at Caulfield last time out. That form is more than good enough to reign supreme in a race like this time.

Treaty Of Seville has a class edge of the majority of his rivals at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday and can record another win. The Busuttin & Young-trained gelding resumed with a decent effort to finish second at Ballarat before securing a comfortable win at Pakenham last start. He looks to have further improvement and he his drawn ideally in barrier 4, with the added advantage of a claiming apprentice engaged.

Lankan Star is another horse that will enjoy good improvement into her second campaign start on Wednesday and with even luck from the potentially awkward barrier, is up to winning. The Nicconi filly was an excellent two-year-old, running third in the Group 1 Blue Diamond most notably, and she resumed this time for a credible fourth in decent company here a fortnight ago.

Yeldarb couldn’t have been more impressive without winning the featured sprint at Albury a couple of weeks ago and he can go one better at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday. The Dan McCarthy-trained five-year-old has been a great horse for the stable throughout his career and absolutely savaged the line when resuming. He’ll take good improvement from that run, gets a relief in the weights with Lachlan King aboard and can settle closer to the speed from barrier 2.
