Race 1 - 11:53am

QTIS 3yo Maiden Plate (1200m)

Degas will strip fitter for one run back from a long spell and looks suited here with the blinkers on for the first time. Hearts Denied will also be fitter for recent racing and has the successful combination of trainer Robert Heathcote and jockey Robbie Fradd on his side. Kusama is on the improve with a last start second in a 1200m Eagle Farm Maiden and Angus The Black has been placed at his last two starts in Maiden class at Doomben and Eagle Farm and has the blinkers back on, but has plenty of weight to carry from an awkward draw.

Race 2 - 12:28pm

Benchmark 80 Handicap (2200m)

Quality Seeker is racing in outstanding form over 2200m with wins at his last two starts at Eagle Farm and even though he is climbing up in the weights, is still the one to beat with apprentice Stephanie Thornton’s 1.5kg claim to help. Lucky Jackson is the winner of his last two starts at the Sunshine Coast over 1600m and has earned his chance on the Saturday circuit. Ilwendo is a two times winner over 2200m and will appreciate the drop back in class and Boom Boom Epic has shown some improvement as he has been stepping up in distance this preparation.

Race 3 - 1:07pm

QTIS 2yo Handicap (1350m)

Tumbler Ridge was a winner two starts back over 1300m at Eagle Farm and was then beaten as favourite when third over 1400m at Eagle Farm again but gets his chance to atone with the blinkers going on. Mishani Epic scored an upset win at huge odds in the same race as Tumbler Ridge and a repeat performance can see him get a share of the prizemoney again. First starter Rory’s Reward was an impressive recent Sunshine Coast barrier trial winner and the betting will be the best guide and Papaya broke through for her Maiden win at Eagle Farm last start and gets her chance on the Saturday circuit.

Maiden Plate (1350m)

Toucan Sam has been runner up at his last two starts at the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast as the favourite but gets another chance with the blinkers going on again. Kennedy Terrace also has the blinkers going back on following his latest fourth in a 1200m Doomben Maiden on a heavy track. Adelase has been knocking on the door for her Maiden win with placings at her last two starts at the Sunshine Coast and Doomben and Blackboots would have gained a lot of experience from her debut second in a 1350m Doomben Maiden on March 4.

Class 3 Plate (1615m)

Back The Rock arrived at huge odds in a 1600m Eagle Farm Class 2 Handicap last start and a repeat performance can see him in the winner’s circle again. Watch The Cat has drawn out a bit but still strips as one of the top chances coming off a last start win in a 1500m Eagle Farm Class 3 Plate. Consular has been racing consistently with a win and two placings over slightly longer distances and is not the worst and King Mombassa will get the run of the race from the inside gate.

Benchmark 72 Handicap (1050m)

The Tony Gollan trained Niedorp has always shown plenty of potential and has raced in much harder company than this and looks the one to beat. The filly is having her first run back after finishing fourth in the Group 3 Red Roses Stakes (1100m) at Flemington during the 2019 Melbourne Cup Carnival. Hollaback Girl has been placed at he last two starts at Eagle Farm and Doomben but has drawn awkwardly. No Doubt Acracker has also drawn a double digit barrier but had solid form before a break and Tapa will get the run of the race from the rails draw.

Race 7 - 3:47pm

QTIS 3yo Handicap (1200m)

Oh Five Glory ran a mighty race to finish third in the QTIS 3yo Jewel (1200m) at the Gold Coast and looks the goods coming back to this class. Bold Style goes up sharply in the weights for his win in a 1000m Eagle Farm 3yo Handicap but still has to be considered as one of the major players. Jeweliana will strip fitter for her first up second at the Gold Coast and Flame Princess is having her first run back since winning over 1600m at Eagle Farm on Melbourne Cup Day last year.

Race 8 - 4:23pm

Open Handicap (1615m)

Get Stuck In streeted his rivals in a 1500m Eagle Farm Handicap last start and looks the one to beat again. Magnufighter was rewarded for his consistency with a win over 1800m at the Gold Coast and is dropping back in distance here. Shogun Sun is on the improve with a last start second to Get Stuck In and Plitvice has very good form in restricted grade and is down in the weights.

Race 9 - 5:02pm

Class 6 Handicap (1200m)

I Am Vinnie was narrowly beaten this class and distance last start at Eagle Farm and gets his chance to go one better here. Moonshine Lady is stepping up in class as she chases a hat trick after wins at the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast and has to be considered. Light Up The Room is resuming and has won first up in the past and Langhro can show some improvement second up from a break.
