Maiden Handicap (1800m) - Race 1 11:39am

Jerry Zanda is fitter for two runs back from a spell and is ready to step up to the 1800m following his last start second in a 1600m Sunshine Coast Maiden. The Tony Gollan trained stablemate Steel Pier finished on the heels of Jerry Zanda in the same race and there is not much separating them again. The Seven Falls has had two runs back, his latest a third in a Maiden over this course and distance and Lady Juene will get every chance from the inside gate.

QTIS 2yo Handicap (1000m) - Race 2 12:14pm

Landsborough Lad is trained on the track and if he runs up to his five and a half lengths Sunshine Coast barrier trial win, he will be winning on debut. Charlie Sphene scored an all the way debut win at the Gold Coast and is one of the main chances again. She’s A Tigress has been placed at her last two starts at the Gold Coast and can figure amongst the prizemoney again and Better Get Set won a recent Doomben barrier trial and is resuming with the blinkers on.

Class 1 Handicap (1000m) - Race 3 12:49pm

Ready To Roam is facing a huge drop in class after finishing fourteenth in the 3yo Jewel at the Gold Coast last start and is better suited here. Rapid Ace is fitter for one run back from a long spell and is coming off a first up second in a 1050m Beaudesert Class 1 on March 27. The locally trained Boomstress will race with the blinkers on for the first time and Don’tdie Wondering is a last start Casino Maiden winner.

Class 1 Handicap (1000m) - Race 4 1:24pm

Bluey’s Ready is ready to resume after scoring a nice win in a recent Sunshine Coast barrier trial. Clear The Bill has been runner up at his last two starts at the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast and is one of the main chances. No Better Moment will race with the blinkers back on coming off a last start fourth over this course and distance and Metallurgist is fitter for a first up fourth over the Sunshine Coast 1000m course.

2 Units Bluey’s Ready

BenchMark 68 Handicap (1600m) - Race 5 1:59pm

Joymaker is dropping back from Saturday class and will find this easier than her last start sixth in a Doomben BenchMark 78 Handicap. Nicholas is on the improve and was a second up third in a 1600m Eagle Farm Class 2 Handicap. Hallside Fandango has finished third in a recent Deagon barrier trial since running third in a Toowoomba 1300m BenchMark 60 Handicap and He’s The Deel is fitter for recent racing.

Maiden Handicap (1200m) - Race 6 2:38pm

Valet looks hard to beat going on his first up second in a 1200m Eagle Farm Maiden. More Than Luck has trialled twice in preparation for his debut with the blinkers on and betting will be the best guide. Redoute’s Spirit is fitter for one run back, a second in a Sunshine Coast Maiden, and Apithanos is not the worst.

QTIS 3yo Handicap (1000m) - Race 7 3:18pm

Sugar Boom is resuming and was very impressive over the Summer Carnival with a hat trick of wins which included her win in the Listed Mode Plate (1200m) at Doomben. Sugar Boom has been untroubled in winning two recent Doomben barrier trials and looks the one to beat. Jagged Edge has some handy form and is dropping back in grade following his latest fifth in a 1000m Eagle Farm 3yo Handicap. No Better Moment has the blinkers on again and The Carpenter has good fresh form.

Class 1 Handicap (1400m) - Race 8 3:58pm

Alpendurada finished a handy first up second in a 1200m Gold Coast Class 1 and has strong claims here. Music Award is stepping up from a 1200m Eagle Farm Maiden win and is one to keep an eye on. Endless Mystery scored her Maiden win last start over this track and distance and Prinny’s Success has had a freshen up since winning a 1650m Beaudesert Maiden.

BenchMark 68 Handicap (1200m) - Race 9 4:38pm

Ella Divine is ready to break through for another win after being runner up at her last two starts at Eagle Farm and gets her chance here. Canapes has had a freshen up since winning a 1600m 0-68 Handicap at the Sunshine Coast in December and has won a recent Deagon barrier trial. Don’t Waiver is resuming and has won first up in the past and Written With Ease has been racing in Saturday Metro class and will appreciate the drop in grade.
