QTIS 2yo Handicap (1200m) - Race 1 11:58am

Starfilly is fitter for a first up fourth in a 2yo Handicap on a heavy track at the Sunshine Coast and gets her chance here from the inside gate with the blinkers on for the first time. The blinkers come off Valletta and expect a better showing than his debut eighth as favourite in a Toowoomba 2yo Maiden. Rollinwiththeflow scored a nice win in a Rockhampton 2yo Maiden and Thunder Mania is resuming and was a debut winner in a mid-week Doomben 2yo Handicap in December.

3 Units Starfilly

Maiden Plate (1000m) - Race 2 12:33pm

All To Do was runner up at his only two starts in August and September last year before a break. The All Too Hard three year old is trained on the track and will be one of the top chances. Kuru Lass was placed in a Gold Coast Maiden before a spell and the betting will be the best guide for his first run back. Trip The Light is fitter for a first up third over this course and distance and Rock With Me has finished second in a recent Doomben barrier trial in preparation for his return to the track.

QTIS 3yo Maiden Handicap (1000m) - Race 3 1:08pm

Expert Eye has finished fourth at his two race starts in Maidens at the Sunshine Coast and at Doomben and has the winkers going on replacing the blinkers. Boom Express is fitter for one run back from a spell for a second over this course and distance and can figure in the mix again. Nikohli Beagle scored a nice Doomben barrier trial win in preparation for his race day debt and Miss Magnolia was also an impressive Doomben trial winner with the tongue tie going back on.

BenchMark 65 Handicap (1800m) - Race 4 1:43pm

Certain Doubt is up slightly in class but down a fraction in weight and has to be considered again following his last start three and a half lengths win in a 1600m BenchMark 58 Handicap at the Sunshine Coast. Dashing Special is fitter for recent racing and looks well placed here following a last start fifth in a 1650m Doomben BenchMark 65 Handicap. Look for improvement from Neptune’s Choice and Warset has been placed three of his last four starts and can figure in the minor money again.

2 Units Certain Doubt

BenchMark 62 Handicap (1300m) - Race 5 2:18pm

Alpendurada is nearing a win with two seconds from his last two starts at the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast and is a winner this track and distance. Treasure Gallery showed marked improvement last start with a third at big odds in a 1200m Sunshine Coast BenchMark 68 Handicap and is facing a slight drop in class here. Hell On Turf is up slightly in the weights on his last start win in a 1200m Sunshine Coast Class 1 but needs luck from a wide gate and Copywriter is fitter for recent racing.

2 Units Alpendurada

BenchMark 62 Handicap (1300m) - Race 6 2:53pm

Gee Tee Tee could not have been more impressive with his last start five and a half lengths win in a 1200m Sunshine Coast BenchMark 62 Handicap. He is up in weight here but will be hard to beat with a repeat performance. Whodunnit wasn’t far off the pace last start when a close up fourth in a 1400m Sunshine Coast BenchMark 65 Handicap and can be thereabouts again. Got My Thrills was well beaten when second to Gee Tee Tee but meets him 2kg better at the weights and Broken Windows is one for the exotics.

Class 1 Handicap (1600m) - Race 7 3:28pm

Prinny’s Success is fitter for one run back from a spell when fourth in a Sunshine Coast Class 1 and is a winner over the 1650m when he broke through for his Maiden win at Beaudesert in December. Galvarino is dropping back in distance from a fourth in an 1800m Sunshine Coast Class 1 and is likely to take up a forward position from a nice barrier draw. Empire Games is fitter for one run back from a break and Federal Agent is stepping up in class following his all the way win in a 1400m Sunshine Coast Maiden.

2 Units Prinny’s Success

BenchMark 72 Handicap (1000m) - Race 8 4:03pm

Jagged Edge is facing a nice drop back in class and has enough early pace to overcome a wide barrier and gets his chance to keep his Sunshine Coast 1000m record intact after two wins from two attempts. Truculent ran a nice race at double figure odds last start for a second over this course and distance and has each way claims again. Stellar Power produced his best effort this time in with a last start third in a 1200m Doomben BenchMark 85 Handicap and Rothman is a winner over this course and distance.

2 Units Jagged Edge

Class 3 Handicap (1200m) - Race 9 4:38pm

Gee Tee Tee was an impressive last start winner in a BenchMark 62 Handicap over this course and distance and will be hard to hold out again. Dynamic Verse will appreciate a drop in weight after a third as favourite in a 1000m Sunshine Coast BenchMark 62 Handicap. Charway is resuming and won both his lead up trials at Deagon and Doomben and Hell On Turf is coming off a last start win over this course and distance.
