QTIS 2yo Handicap (1200m)

Boom Spender is resuming and forget his last run before a spell when he finished well down the track in the $500,000 QTIS Jewel at the Gold Coast in March. He scored his Maiden win at Doomben in January and looks well placed here.

Hancora Field has won three from six and will strip fitter for his first up win in a 1000m Sunshine Coast 2yo Handicap and is one of the chances.

Statesville heads back to the city following a third in a Toowoomba 2yo Handicap.

QTIS 2yo Maiden Handicap (1400m)

Apache Chase is resuming. The Better Than Ready gelding has two fourths beside his name in Open 2yo Handicaps at Eagle Farm in February and March will be hard to beat first up.

Moonan Me has been placed three times from five starts and is dropping back to Maiden class following a fifth in a Doomben 1350m 2yo Class 2 and looks suited here.

 He Knows is also dropping back in grade after a fourth in a 1350m 2yo Class 2 at Doomben and Hangin’ High will have gained plenty of experience from his debut second in a 1400m Gold Coast 2yo Maiden.

QTIS 3yo Handicap (1000m)

First starter A River Somewhere has won both his recent Doomben barrier trials and looks primed for a bold debut appearance and the betting will be the best guide.

Scottish Mist has two placings from four race starts and has won a recent Doomben barrier trial in preparation for his return to the racetrack.

Danites has been placed three times from her last four starts, her latest a third in a Sunshine Coast 1000m 3yo Maiden on June 5.

Class 3 Handicap (1200m)

Amiche is chasing a hat trick after a nine and a half lengths win in a Sunshine Coast 1000m Maiden followed by a two and three quarter lengths win in an Ipswich Class 1 Plate and looks the one to beat again.

Vibrato is fitter for one run back from a spell for a fourth in an Ipswich BenchMark 68 Handicap and Woman Of Gold is also fitter for recent racing.

BenchMark 70 Handicap (1400m)

Hail Manhattan has been knocking on the door with two seconds from his last two starts at Ipswich and Doomben from wide gates and gets his chance here after drawing the rails.

Smooth Move is fitter for one run back from a spell and look for improvement on his first up fourth in a Gold Coast 1200m Class 1.

Liability was runner up twice before his last start fifth in a 1350m Doomben BenchMark 75 Handicap and Cordoned has been placed twice from his last three starts.

Race 6 - 3:28pm

BenchMark 85 Handicap (1000m)

Rock Beat is resuming and is unbeaten from three first up attempts and has also won two from two this course and distance, including his last start before a break in December and is one of the main chances again.

Piracy is fitter for recent racing and will get every chance after drawing the pole position.

Desert Man has been placed twice from his last three starts and is not the worst.

BenchMark 75 Handicap (1800m)

Tatcee was a winner two starts back in an Ipswich BenchMark 78 Handicap and then finished just behind the placegetters when fifth in a Doomben 1650m BenchMark 75 Handicap. Has been placed three times this course and distance and has strong claims.

Fairy Me Home hasn’t be far off the mark of late with two fifths from his last two starts and is a winner over 1800m.

High Power has been thereabouts and was sent out as the favourite last start when fourth in a 1690m Ipswich BenchMark 78 Handicap and Merlin’s Magic has a Gold Coast win and a Doomben second at his last two starts and will get every chance from the inside gate.

Race 8 - 4:38pm

QTIS 3yo BenchMark 68 Handicap (1200m)

Kalik is fitter for two runs back from a spell and will find this easier than his latest sixth in a Doomben Saturday 3yo Handicap and is one of the main chances.

Astro Boy Toy is resuming and has won both his Gold Coast barrier trials in preparation for his return and has first up claims.

Schweid As is not the worst on his latest fourth in a Doomben 1200m BenchMark Handicap.
