Race 1 - 6:25pm

3yo Maiden Plate (1120m)

The Sigrid Carr trained Northern Spirit is facing the starter for the first and it might pay to watch any betting moves. The three year old filly has won a recent Longford barrier trial and Carr takes the ride herself.

Kohima has been placed at his last two starts on the Devonport Tapeta synthetic track and gets tested back on the turf and is one to keep safe.

Thunberg is fitter for one run back from a spell when second in an 1150m Devonport 3yo Maiden and Gee Gee Lifeline has won a recent Longford barrier trial in prapration for his return to the track.

Race 2 - 7:00pm

Maiden Plate (1220m)

Gee Gee Royboy has a second and two fourths from three starts before a break and is set to resume. Gee Gee Royboy is primed to go after running second in a recent Longford barrier trial.

Tassie Miss can do better than her debut eleventh in an 1150m Devonport Maiden and has finished second in a recent Devonport barrier trial. The filly has the crossover noseband going band going on.

Look for improvement from Warpedo following his first run on Tassie soil when fourth in an 1150m Devonport Maiden and Bogan Bill has the blinkers going on fo the first time.

Race 3 - 7:40pm

BenchMark 74 Handicap (1220m)

Gee Gee True Story is resuming and has won a recent Longford barrier trial. Gee Gee True Story is a four times winner over this course and distance and has won first up in the past.

Kwai has been placed at her last two starts at Devonport over 1150m but has won at Launceston in the past and has strong claims here.

Silkstone has also been racing at Devonport with a second and a win at his last two starts and has been placed on three occasions at Launceston and Geegee Trendsetter will appreciate getting back on top of the turf.

Class 1 Handicap (1420m)

Mystical Warrior has finished just out of a place at his last two starts for a fifth and a fourth at Devonport and could figure amongst the prizemoney.

Fagin’s Touch is resuming and has won both his recent barrier trials at Longford.

Gold Current is a last start Maiden winner over 1150m at Devonport but is yet to be tested at Launceston and Orange Roughie is also a last start Devonport Maiden winner.

BenchMark 60 Handicap (1420m)

The blinkers come off Ivoryman as he heads back to Launceston following his last start fourth in an 1150m Devonport BenchMaerk 66 Handicap. He is a two times winner over this course and distance.

Our Little Ted is also winner over the Launceston 1420m course and is coming off a last start win in an 1150m Devonport Class 1.

Gee Gee Caughtya is resuming and has been placed in two recent barrier trials at Longford and Devonport and Our Declaration is resuming and could race well fresh.

Open Handicap (1420m)

Amaword has been prominent at two runs back from a spell at Devonport for a first up third and a win over 1350m and is a three times winner this course and distance.

Shady Hustle is resuming and will be better suited over more ground but has been placed first up in the past and is also a winner over this course and distance.

Crocodile Rock will be having his first run trainer Scott Brunton and he has some handy form in Melbourne, including a second over 2500m in the Listed JRA Trophy at Flemington three starts back and Zatacla is resuming and has won first up in the past.

Maiden/Class 1 Plate (1620m)

Mywordis has been placed at two runs back from a spell at Devonport and heads back to Launceston following a second in a 1350m BenchMark 60 Handicap.

Dusty Joe is fitter for recent racing, his latest a fourth in a 1650m Devonport Maiden/Class 1 Plate.

Stanfield Carius heads to Launceston for the first time coming off a fifth in a 1880m Devonport Maiden/Class 1 Plate and Tee Jay Frankie is coming a win in a 1350m Devonport Maiden Plate.

BenchMark 74 Handicap (2150m)

Geegees Rock Opera has been placed at his last two starts over 1880m at Devonport and is being tested over the 2150m for the first time.

Hunch is coming off a last start win in a 1650m Devonport Maiden/Class 1 Plate and Braccenby has finished third and fourth at his last two starts at Devonport.
