2019 – Warner Finds his Mojo

After a poor showing in his Ashes comeback post ball-tampering scandal, Dave Warner returned to making Test runs with 154 in an innings against Pakistan at the Gabba.

A double-century stand with Joe Burns almost wiped out the first-innings deficit, which saw Marnus Labuschagne notch up his maiden Test hundred.

Pakistan put up a fight in the second innings – with Babar Azam making his first Test hundred in the country, along with keeper Mohammad Rizwan 96 – but they were not able to take it into the fifth day.

Australia would win the first Test in Brisbane by an innings and 5 runs.

1996 – Karrie Webb Makes History

Australia’s own Karrie Webb became the first female to earn $1 million in prize money in an LPGA season after winning the prestigious Tour Championship at the Desert Inn Golf Club in Nevada.

Webb finished 16-under 262.

Not a bad effort for a rookie!
