2000 – Fastest Goal in EPL History
The fastest goal in English Premier League history was scored by Ledley King in just 9.82 seconds for Tottenham Hostpur in their 3-3 draw against Bradford City.
1936 – How Low Can the Aussies Go?
Australia schieved the lowest total of the 20th century on home soil on this day in 1936.
A wet and rain-sodden Brisbane test against England, Gubby Allen and Bill Voce combined for nine wickets bowling Australia out for 58, with Don Bradman bowled out for a Duck in his first Test as Captain.
England recorded a 322 win victory at the Gabba but Australia would comeback from 0-2 down in this Ashes series to take it 3-2, in one of the great fightbacks in Ashes history.
