2010 – Sachin’s 50th Test Century
Asa India was batting to save the first Test against South Africa in Centurian, the one and only Sachin Tendulka hit his 50th career Test century, bringing his total for the year to seven.
Tendulkar’s pheonomial achievement even overshadowed Rahul Dravid crossing the 12,000 run milestone.
The Milestones wouldn’t be enough to get India over the line, losing the Test to South Africa by an innings with Jacuques Kallis scoring his maiden double-century.
2000 – Funky Town
Brian Lara may have slammed 182 runs, but Australia would take a decisive 3-0 lead in the third Test against the West Indies in Adelaide.
It was the efforts of Colin “Funky” Miller (pre hair-dye) who would win man of the match with five wickets (10 in total) in each innings.
Adam Gillchrist would also fill in as Austraia’s captain for the third Test in Adelaide – the first time he had done that in his career.
