Doomben - Race 6 2:38pm AEST

No. 4 King Of Hastings

King Of Hastings is the class runner in the Chief De Beers field and he is outstanding value at his current quote.

He showed his quality with his win at Royal Randwick last campaign, and he has generally raced in stronger company than this.

The wide barrier draw isn’t ideal, and he will need some luck in running, but his class will take him a long way in this field.

Doomben - Race 7 3:18pm AEST

No. 1 Sir Dragonet

Sir Dragonet has proven that his victory in the Ladbrokes Cox Plate last year was not a fluke.

He returned to winning form at Group 1 level in the Tancred Stakes and he wasn’t beaten far in both the Ranvet Stakes and the Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

The Doomben Cup is a drop in quality and he has the turn-of-foot to finish over the top of his rivals.

Doomben - Race 8 3:58pm AEST

No. 4 Ranier

Ranier is well and truly over the odds in what is an open edition of the BRC Sprint.

He returned to the races with a fast-finishing second place finish in the Hall Mark Stakes at Royal Randwick and this race is no tougher.

The fact that he has had a barrier trial between race starts is a positive and he maps to get a lovely run in transit with Hugh Bowman in the saddle.

Flemington - Race 6 2:50pm AEST

No. 3 River Twain

River Twain has recorded three wins from his past five race starts and he finds himself in another very winnable contest at Flemington on Saturday.

His win in Adelaide last start was nothing short of dominant and the form coming out of that race has been very strong.

Barrier five is perfect and he will get the run of the race with Jamie Kah in the saddle.
