Daily Racing Tips – Stradbroke Handicap Day Special
Eagle Farm - Race 1 11:29am AEST
No. 12 Socialist
Socialist is a better horse than her record suggests and she is the value runner in an open edition of the Oxlade Stakes.
She never gave her rivals a chance when she led from start to finish at Canterbury and she had genuine excuses when he finished fifth in the Carter Stakes.
Kerrin McEvoy can ride her aggressively from barrier six and she will have every possible chance in the run.
Eagle Farm - Race 7 3:13pm AEST
No. 7 Ranch Hand
Chris Waller has an excellent record in the JJ Atkins and Ranch Hand has been the forgotten horse in this race.
He was unlucky not to win the Ken Russell Memorial Classic and he never had a chance when he was caught three wide in the BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes.
That won’t be the case from barrier two and he can bounce back to his best form.
Eagle Farm - Race 8 3:53pm AEST
No. 13 Signore Fox
Signore Fox will need some luck from the wide barrier draw, but he is still an excellent chance in an incredibly open Stradbroke Handicap.
He showed his quality when he won the Star Kingdom Stakes first-up and he was only narrowly denied at big odds in the Kingsford-Smith Cup.
The Exceed And Excel entire is the horse weighted to win the Stradbroke Handicap.
Eagle Farm - Race 9 4:29pm AEST
No. 7 Coventina Bay
Coventina Bay will make her Australian racing debut in the Dane Ripper Stakes and is a serious contender.
She has stamped herself as one of the best mares in New Zealand, with three wins from her past five starts, and her barrier trial victory at the Sunshine Coast was nothing short of outstanding.
She is great value at her current price.
