Not a lot of exposed form to assess with these juveniles so I’m happy to stay out from a betting perspective.

Dunkel couldn’t have been much more impressive when scoring by over a length on debut at The Valley.
The son of Dundeel is only going to be better out over distance now and he’s the one to beat.

Port Philip put together four wins in a row before being narrowly beaten in the Group 3 Bendigo Cup last time out.
He’s a horse racing in career best form and the horse that beat him last start, High Emocean went on to place in the Melbourne Cup.
Should cross from barrier seven and be on speed making his own luck.

I have been excited to see Greece line up but she has been scratched a number of times since winning impressively at Geelong first up back in September.
She is a talented filly with a huge amount of upside and she looks really well placed in a race of this quality back on top of the ground.

Paul’s Regret is yet to place in three runs this prep but she was beaten just over a length at Group 3 level last time out.
She has been competitive at a high level for some time and she will appreciate the drop back in class for this event.

Peter Moody saddles up another lightly raced four year old in Victory Bay in the sixth race of the afternoon at Cranbourne.
He was a narrow winner at Pakenham last start but they beat home the third horse by some margin and this looks a nice progressive step for him at this stage of his prep.

Callsign Mav is a Group 1 winner just three starts back and while his last couple have been below par, the step back in grade suits.
He has placed in 11 of 17 starts on a good surface and he should be able to settle just off the speed from his draw in barrier 10.

The Rosemont Stud owned Midwest is a really talented sprinter who has managed six wins from 11 career starts.
He won all six of those from seven starts during his last prep and if he continues to take steps forward with natural progressive and experience he will be competing at a higher grade in no time.

Arran Bay has been a consistent performer over his short career to date placing in seven of 10 starts.
The four year old gelding closed out his last campaign with a win in the Silver Bowl Final at headquarters at 1600m.
He’s been placed twice from three starts first up and performs well on a good surface.
