Highway Handicap (1000m) - Race 1 12:20pm AEDT

Keen to back a couple coming out of a highway race a couple of weeks ago behind Sussu.

Extra Flash was rocketing home late in that race at Rosehill and has a good record back at 1000m.

Drawn well in barrier three as is really nice each way odds.

I’m Not Slew was brave when almost holding on in that same event.

The lightly raced four year old mare drops 2.5kgs for this race and has also drawn well in barrier two.

Benchmark 72 Handicap (1600m) - Race 2 12:55pm AEDT

Grey gelding Floating has been ultra consistent right throughout this prep finishing in the top two in four of six starts.

He won a midway handicap two starts back by 3.5 lengths on a good track at this distance and he is going to take some beating in this race.

Benchmark 72 Handicap (1100m) - Race 3 1:30pm AEDT

Mabel kick started this campaign with a win in an open class race at Hawkesbury by three quarters of a length.

She then tried hard when ultimately finding one tougher at Wyong last time out.

She drops 1.5kgs for this event and is well over the odds at $19.

Listed Christmas Cup (2400m) - Race 4 2:05pm AEDT

Regal Lion has been competitive in black type races all throughout this campaign and was beaten just over a length behind Bonny Ezra in the Listed ATC Cup last time out.

He will be nearing peak fitness now and although he is yet to place in two starts at Randwick, he has drawn to get a nice run in transit.

Inglis Nursery (1000m) - Race 5 2:40pm AEDT

Not a lot of exposed form to go on in the Inglis Nursery but the unraced filly Facile couldn’t have been much more impressive in two trials leading into her debut.

She has won those trials by a combined eight lengths and should get a nice run from barrier five.

Benchmark 88 Handicap (1200m) - Race 6 3:20pm AEDT

This looks a nice race for Brookspire to resume in even though she is being asked to carry the big weight.

The five year old mare has been placed in eight of 14 overall which includes four wins.

Both her recent trials leading into this first up assignment were good and she has a class advatnage over a lot of these runners in my opinion.

Listed Razor Sharp Handicap (1200m) - Race 7 4:00pm AEDT

Waihaha Falls is a tough horse to catch which was evident when he failed to win last start stepping back in grade and starting favourite.

He drops a massive 7kg for that effort where he still finished second and I’m willing to give him another chance in this event.

Group 2 The Ingham (1600m) - Race 8 4:40pm AEDT

Brutality has been racing well right throughout this campaign without winning and he is going much better than his form on paper suggests.

He was far from disgraced in The Hunter at Newcastle and then finished a length and a half off them in The Gong at Kembla Grange.

He drops 10.5kg from his last start fifth in Rosehill and although he has drawn sticky in barrier 14, he represents good each way value.

Benchmark 88 Handicap (1600m) - Race 9 5:20pm AEDT

Nugget has made an excellent start to his Australian racing career and while connections are hoping he gets a start in the feature race, if he fails there he will be tough to beat here.

He won a similar race at Kembla Grange last start by over two lengths and the apprentice will give some weight relief from the inside draw.

Benchmark 78 Handicap (1400m) - Race 10 5:55pm AEDT

Democracy Manifest is a horse in form and I am of the opinion that he is better than this grade of racing.

He’s shown a sharp turn of foot toward the end of his races and he has been placed in four of his five starts so far this prep.
