BEST BET
ADAM SCOTT
Australian Adam Scott is a hard player to get a handle on at this stage of his career, he doesn’t play often and he is very well travelled.
A quick look at recent efforts though show he is playing at an elite level.
In his last five starts his worst finish is T-18 with four Top 10s and included in that run is a Top 10 at the Open, runner-up in the Scottish Open and BMW Championship and a fourth in the Tour Championship.
He has picked up at least 2.8 shots per tournament in four of those five starts and finished T-7 here last year.
BEST VALUE
JUSTIN ROSE
Veteran who wants to win this tournament as much as any other, he has come close, finishing Top 6 four times since 2012.
Rose has a game that is entirely suitable to Wentworth, ranking third in Scrambling, fourth in Driving Accuracy and ninth in GIR.
His last tournament on UK soil was a super second in The Open Championship and he looks a very nice bet.
SEBASTIAN SODERBERG
Swede Sebastian Soderberg is rightly known as a bit of a gunner – he did blow an eight-shot final round lead this season – but his profile is so good he needs to be included among the best value chances.
Leads the tour in Strokes Gained: Approach while he ranks Top 10 in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green, Scrambling, Putts Per GIR and Bogey Avoidance.
He has also hinished Top 3 in four of his last seven tournaments.
BEST ROUGHIES
BERND WIESBERGER
Austrian Bernd Wiesberger is an utterly huge price this week and given his form is a must bet for a Top 10 at least.
Leads the Tour in Bogey Avoidance while he ranks third in GIR, fourth in Strokes Gained: Approach, fourth in Scrambling and fifth in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green.
He finished second at the European Open this year and finished in the Top 40 here six straight years.
CONNOR SYME
The pick of the triple digit shots is Scot Connot Syme.
He has six Top 17 finishes in his last 15 starts so is playing well enough.
Finished T-10 here last year in just his second start at Wentworth.
Loves the correlation tournaments, finishing Top 10 at all three of those events in 2023.
Ranks 13th in Bogey Avoidance and 15th in Scrambling.
TOP AUSTRIAN
BERND WIESBERGER
Three Austrians tee it up this week and it is stunning that Sepp Straka is odds-on here.
Bernd Wiesberger profiles as well as anyone this week and is an outstanding bet at any price north of $2.00.
TOP FRENCH
ANTOINE ROZNER
There are 11 Frenchmen featuring at the BMW PGA Championship and there are plenty of contenders but the best value play is Antoine Rozner.
Rozner has an elite iron game, ranking second in Strokes Gained: Approach.
