Maori Chief resumes in a very winnable race at Canterbury.
The I Am Invincible gelding didn’t manage to break his maiden during his debut prep, but he also didn’t miss placing in three starts.
He’s had the benefit of a trial leading up to this return and it’s a nice launchpad.
I’m keen to take on early favoure Ad Astra with a fit Rockin’ At Midnite.
Rockin’ At Midnite turned in a couple of nice performances recently and was only just pipped late after taking up the running at Pakenham two back, and I think the form out of her most recent start here at The Valley is going to hold up.
This looks a great opportunity for her to begin her rise through the grades.
Judicial returns to the races for Peter Moody and Catherine Colemen in this race and I think it’s a lovely launchpad for him.
He made just one appearance during his debut prep but probably couldn’t have impressive on the Ballarat synthetic, kicking away to win by more than two lengths.
He’s drawn an absolute peach here under Damian Lane, and I think he’ll be hard to beat.
Ruminate recorded a lovely win on the Ballarat Synthetic back in August and has since filled the minors at each of his three subsequent starts, running into some good horses in the process.
There’s absolutely no denying his fitness edge here and this is probably a weaker race than the last couple that he has contested.
