Daily Racing Tips – Thursday 2nd January

Yarra Valley - Race 2 2:00pm AEDT
No. 5 Parch

Parch has finished in the placings in all three of his starts this preparation.

The Jerome Hunter-trained gelding was particularly good last start over 1200m at Mornington when finishing 2.3 lengths second to Enright who has subsequently run well to place in a stronger race.

He maps to get a beautiful run.

Yarra Valley - Race 3 2:30pm AEDT
No. 9 Mckeyla

Mckeyla ran well on debut over 1000m on the Pakenham Synthetic when finishing 2.3 lengths third to Blue Stratum who then won in Saturday company at his next start to frank the form.

The Robbie Griffiths-trained filly was spelled after that and returns here on the back of a very nice jump out win where he let down powerfully.

She looks well placed in this field to break her maiden.

She’ll strip fitter third-up and maps to get all the favours.

Yarra Valley - Race 6 4:00pm AEDT
No. 2 Scottie’s Legacy

Scottie’s Legacy impressed in her Australian debut three starts ago when running through the line to finish 1.5 lengths second over 1469m at Kyneton.

The Mark Walker-trained mare loved the rise to a mile two starts back when easily winning by two lengths at Kilmore.

She’ll appreciate the drop in class after finding the line well to finish just under a length second over 2000m at Mornington.

She looks tough to beat.

Yarra Valley - Race 7 4:30pm AEDT
No. 9 The Marg Factor

The Marg Factor looked the winner last start over 1400m at Cranbourne but was gunned down late to finish just under a length second.

The daughter of Hvasstan has been racing well in stronger class races so will appreciate the drop in grade.

She maps to get a great run on speed for Tianni Chapman who claims 2kg.
