Yarra Valley - Race 3 2:30pm AEDT
No. 4 Megaflash
Megaflash strikes a winnable race today at Yarra Valley.
The Bolt D’oro gelding is an eleven-start maiden, but he has stripped fitter for three runs this time in and finished just over a head behind the winner at his latest.
He has been transferred to the care of Ben Brisbourne ahead of this race and I don’t think he’ll get a better opportunity to win.
Yarra Valley - Race 5 3:30pm AEDT
No. 7 Junebug
Junebug resumes in a lovely race today at the Yarra Valley.
Junebug turned in some fine performances last time in, winning at this point of her preparation and ending her prep second behind an impressive Victory Roll and Goulburn.
She’s had the benefit of a trial ahead of this return and she can use it as a springboard into something stronger.
Yarra Valley - Race 6 4pm AEDT
No. 3 Spicy Margs
Spicy Margs is first up in a winnable race this afternoon.
The Deep Field mare hasn’t been seen at the races since August, but she’s a winner at this point of her preparation previously and has typically contested tougher races than this one.
A couple of recent trials ahead of her return today add confidence.
Yarra Valley - Race 8 5pm AEDT
No. 9 She's Slick
I thought this looked a nice race for She’s Slick.
She’s Slick stamped herself as a filly to follow by winning on debut at Mornington last month before finishing off the pace in BM64 company at her only other start.
Fitter third-up and in what looks a weaker race, I think she’ll be right in the finish.
