Randwick - Race 5 3:25pm AEDT
No. 2 Don Diego De Vega

Don Diego De Vega returns to the races at Randwick.

The former French galloper has just had the two starts on Australian soil and was quick to make an impression, finishing the runner up at Rosehill before a determined effort to salute here under 61kgs.

With only the seven race starts the Lope De Vega gelding is building a very tidy record and he looks to have plenty of upside.

The mile kick off looks ideal on the back of a recent 1200m trial win and barrier four should see him afforded every chance under Jason Collett.

Randwick - Race 8 4:00pm AEDT
No. 8 Imposant

Imposant has been the runner up in two starts back this campaign and looks well placed to go one better.

She didn’t have the best of luck when resuming over 1300m here but charged home late once clear and she was again doing her best work late last start at Wyong.

The Kris Lees trained mare will relish getting back on to the bigger track and slight step to 1400m will certainly suit.

Chad Schofield will take the reins and the inside draw can see her settle within striking distance.

Randwick - Race 7 4:35pm AEDT
No. 1 Bonita Queen

Bonita Queen proved too good when resuming over 1100m at Wyong and she will have taken further improvement from the outing.

A daughter of I Am Invincible, the mare has put together a very tidy record, having only missed a top three spot on one occasion during her ten starts to date.

She put the writing on the wall last campaign with dominant back to back wins and looks to have come back bigger and better.

She does have to lump the 61.5kgs but Adam Hyeronimus knows how to get the best out of her and he stays in the saddle for Bjorn Baker.

Sandown - Race 8 4:15pm AEDT
No. 4 Chorlton Lane
Tip of the Day

Chortlon Lane comes off a five week freshen up and he looked sharp in a recent 1000m jump out.

The Irish bred gelding had been racing well and recorded a deserved win the Canberra feature in late November.

He then produced a terrific performance in the $1m Supernova last month where he charged home in restricted room to claim third.

He races well fresh and the 1400m is certainly his sweet spot.
