Trained by McKayler Barnes, this mare has raced well at her past two starts since winning a trial here at Bathurst in early January, going down narrowly from the same alley over the same trip last start. That race was an infinitely stronger event than the one she strikes here, and the overall time recorded holds her in good stead.
The Heston Blue Chip mare showed enough gate speed to hold the position behind leader on that occasion, meaning she should be able to either lead or sit two fence here again. With any shade of luck, she should be hitting the board.

At his first run back from two impressive trials, this Sweet Lou gelding weaved through late to hit the line stylishly, beaten a touch over six metres. This horse is blessed with a fantastic change up of speed and is a multiple winner over this track/distance.
With legendary female driver Emma Turnbull aboard, this gelding maps to receive and economical run in transit from barrier three. Provided he sees clear air, expect this horse to be running on strongest late.
Well, here we go again, another campaign and yet again this horse has absolutely swooned me with his trials.
Trained and driven by one of the finest in the Western-Districts, John O’Shea, this Tintin In America gelding has only faced the starter five times despite being seven years of age and is yet to record a placing. Tedrick Brady has always trialled in fantastic fashion, resulting in him starting single figure odds in four of his five starts.
This gelding has trialled better than ever leading into this event and hopefully we can see him show some of his trial gate speed to clear the pack and lead here. If he can find the top, he should take a power of running down.
A Rayngold owned mare, this Peter Bullock mare looks a solid chance of breaking her maiden status this evening.
Driven by Bullock’s son Travis, this mare has raced well without figuring in limited starts so far. Her most recent outing saw the Yankee Rockstar four-year-old sit in the breeze throughout, battling away to finish seventh with a fifteen-metre margin.
Drawn to receive a kinder run in transit in a limited event, this mare is a more than worth an each-way ticket.
