Our Tuesday NBA tips and best bets include three cross-conference plays, including the Grizzlies taking on the Hawks at home.
Philadelphia 76ers vs Portland Trail Blazers
10:00am, Wells Fargo Center
The Blazers have been absolute money in these non-conference games, particularly at the line where they hold a league-best 15-3 record. The Sixers finally snapped their lenghty losing skid with a win over the Dubs on Sunday, but with Joel Embiid now done for the year and Paul George nursing a groin problem, there’s a bit to like about Portland laying +3.5 at the line.
Tip: Back the Blazers to Cover the Line (+3.5 Points)
Memphis Grizzlies vs Atlanta Hawks
11:00am, Fiserv Forum
Good little cross-conference action here with the Grizz hosting the Hawks. Atlanta comes in off a two-day break, while Memphis has played three games over the last four days. In saying that, this is an interesting schedule spot for Atlanta with a game to follow back home against the Bucks on Wednesday. It’s worth noting the Grizzlies have gone 16-7-1 against the spread in non-conference play, so with Trae Young still featuing on the Hawks’ injury report, Memphis is the way I’m leaning.
Tip: Back the Grizzlies to Cover the Line (-6.5 Points)
Utah Jazz vs Detroit Pistons
12:00pm, Delta Center
The Pistons hold a rest advantage in Utah on Tuesday with the Jazz playing the second half of a back to back. Utah has won only three of its 10 games in this spot all year, while the Pistons have been on an absolute tear of late, winning nine of their last 10 games. The Jazz’s injury report makes for tough reading despite the fact they’ve each of their last four over Detroit taking back to the 2022 season.
Tip: Back the Pistons to Cover the Line
