Daily Harness Tips – Thursday 6th March

Tamworth - Race 3 12:26pm AEDT
No. 10 Ultimate Cruza

In what is not exactly the strongest Tamworth race on record, this Michael Formosa trained and driven colt is a clear standout.

This three-year-old colt by Betting Line has been a consistent performer for his connections throughout his career, amassing three wins and four placings. Although his last start eight at Newcastle was a touch disappointing, he has put in a fantastic trial since.

Drawn terribly, this colt should prove too fast and too strong when push comes to shove and will be able to make his move anywhere from the 800m mark onwards.

Tamworth - Race 7 2:46pm AEDT
No. 2 Ohwhatiwouldgive

A member of the powerful Darren Elder operation, this four-year-old gelding looks poised to return to the winner’s circle.

This gelding was the subject of a strong late betting move at Newcastle six days ago, racing well with minimal luck. At both his runs prior, this gelding had got to the line well without threatening.

Drawn well in barrier two, this gelding should have enough gate speed to either lead or hold a forward position for driver Grace Panella and from there will take a power of beating.

Penrith - Race 6 7:51pm AEDT
No. 9 Spitfire

R6-9. Spitfire

A three-year-old gelding hailing from the strong crop trained by Blake Fitzpatrick, this runner is poised to return from a spell a winner.

A horse that has always shown fantastic ability, this son of Betting Line come on in leaps and bounds towards the end of his last preparation, culminating in a fourth placing behind horses like My Ultimate Barney and Mac Bon in a Listed race at Newcastle.

Although drawn nine, this gelding is strong enough to overcome this draw and has the services of inform young reinswoman Zara Fitzpatrick.

No. 10 Ronnie The Hammer
Tip of the Day

Arguably the best graded horse anywhere in Australia this week, David Moran appears to have a moral on his hands.

Trained and driven by Moran, this three-year-old gelding has been competing against some of the strongest opposition his age group has to offer, best evidenced by his seventh placing behind The Highlight Reel in a heat of the NSW Derby five days ago.

Drawn appallingly in barrier ten, Moran will likely get motivated throughout the middle stages of the race, but even if he drives this gelding for one shot at them, he should be too good.

Ronnie The Hammer is our Best of The Day.
