IGA SWIATEK VS BARBORA KREJCIKOVA
SGM – BACK SWIATEK TO WIN AND OVER 18.5 TOTAL GAMES @ $1.80

French Open and Wimbledon winners Iga Swiatek and Barbora Krejcikova square off in a high-profile Korea Open quarterfinal on Friday.

Swiatek has a 3-2 lead over Krejcikova, snapping a two-match losing streak with a WTA Finals win last November. Krejcikova took out their tournament finals at the 2022 Ostrava Open and 2023 Dubai Championships.

It’s been a big couple of months for world No.2 Swiatek, winning Wimbledon and the Cincinnati Masters before going down to Amanda Anisimova in the US Open quarters. She trounced Sorana Cirstea in her opening assignment in Seoul 6-3 6-2.

Krejcikova also made it to the last eight at the US Open – finding some of her best form again in recent times after another rough injury run – and has overcome Tatiana Prozorova (6-1 6-2) and Emma Raducanu (4-6 7-6 6-1) so far this week.

The conditions suit Swiatek, however, and she will have the edge physically after Krejcikova’s lengthy battle last night.

ELLA SEIDEL VS EKATERINA ALEXANDROVA
BACK SEIDEL TO COVER THE GAMES HANDICAP (+4.5) @ $2.10

Korea Open second seed Ekaterina Alexandrova lines up against rising German Ella Seidel in the quarterfinals.

Eleventh-ranked Alexandrova made it to the last 16 at the US Open – losing to Iga Swiatek – before fighting back from a slow start to beat Lois Boisson in her opening assignment in Seoul 4-6 6-2 6-2.

World No.105 Seidel had to win two qualifiers to make the main draw here, but she’s replicating the form that saw her make a breakout run to the Cincinnati Masters Round of 16 with wins over Emma Navarro and Mccartnery Kessler.

Seidel has come from a set down to finish over the top of both Jessika Ponchet (5-7 6-4 6-2) and sixth seed Beatriz Haddad Maia (6-7 7-6 7-5) in Seoul.

Having beaten players of Alexandrova’s ilk very recently, Seidel holds plenty of appeal as a $4.00 outsider.

TALLON GRIEKSPOOR VS TARO DANIEL
BACK GRIEKSPOOR TO COVER THE GAMES HANDICAP (-2.5) @ $1.85

Chengdu Open third seed Tallon Griekspoor is a $1.48 favourite to get past Japanese stalwart Taro Daniel in the Round of 16.

Griekspoor is 2-0 in this head-to-head, winning at the 2022 Winston-Salem Open and the 2024 Madrid Masters.

Receiving a first-round bye here, world No.31 Griekspoor is coming off four straight losses in North America – including to Adrian Mannarino at the US Open.

Daniel sits outside the top 150 but won qualifiers against James Duckworth and Billy Harris before trouncing Coleman Wong 6-3 6-2 in the first round.

It was the 32-year-old’s first main draw in some time, but even with that momentum and Griekspoor’s recent slump, the Dutchman is the pick here.

LORENZO MUSETTI VS DINO PRIZMIC
BACK MUSETTI TO WIN 2-0 @ $1.95

Top seed Lorenzo Musetti gets underway at the Chengdu Open in the Round of 16 against Croatia’s Dino Prizmic.

World No.9 Musetti is coming off a US Open quarter-final run that was halted by top-ranked defending champ Jannik Sinner.

A career-best year has included Monte-Carlo Masters final and French Open semi-final appearances, but he’d love to snap a three-year title drought here.

World No.121 Prizmic put away Terence Atmane 6-4 6-3 in an impressive first-round showing. He lost to Andrey Rublev in straight sets in the first round of the US Open.

The 20-year-old is 0-4 against top-10 players to date – and Musetti has more than enough form on the board to indicate he won’t be the tyro’s mileston victim.
