You can find our Wednesday Greyhound Tips for June 24th below, including Richmond best bets.
I think I’ve found one that can turn in a cheeky performance at big odds tonight – Touch Of Venom.
Touch Of Venom owns the quickest course and distance figure in the field at 18.20 and has already shown winning ability at this level, while Anyone But You and Chrisy’s Wish both have the talent to feature prominently with their best efforts.
The runner I keep coming back to is Touch Of Venom, whose proven speed over the track and trip gives her a strong chance to bounce back to winning form.
| 8. Touch Of Venom (8) 66716T: Gregory Sutherland | |||
| Surprised two starts back at this track to win by 9 lengths in 18.38, beating Shacoby Storm. Last start finished 6th in a Grade 5 on June 19 over 320m at this track behind Red Rock Along beaten 1.75 lengths (18.64). Happy enough to dismiss in this field. | |||
This is a competitive middle-distance contest with a number of runners bringing solid recent form and proven Richmond credentials.
Zipping Lumiere and Spring Drop have recorded the quickest times in the field, while Love Over Gold continues to race with admirable consistency and rarely runs a poor race.
On top I’ve put Zipping Lumiere, whose combination of recent form and a slick 29.60 PB makes him the one they may all have to run down.
| 3. Zipping Lumiere (3) 23×17T: Jason Magri | |||
| Going well prior to missing the frame last start when well-fancied, finishing seventh in 23.54 over 401m at this track. Looms as a top contender. | |||
This is a fascinating race with a blend of established performers and a couple of runners whose recent form suggests there may be more improvement to come.
Bobbin’ Bruno and Mick Boots have both been racing in terrific form despite lacking a recorded Richmond PB, while Hard Sniff Style and Rapid Rita bring strong course-and-distance credentials to the table.
I’m ultimately siding with Bobbin’ Bruno, whose recent record of two wins and two placings from his past four starts suggests he’s arriving at this race in peak condition.
| 6. Bobbin’ Bruno (6) 13112T: David Pringle | |||
| Turned in a good run last time, placing (29.78) at Dubbo in a Grade 5. Lines up from box 6 for the first time. Looks hard to beat with even luck. | |||
This shapes as a fast and competitive sprint, with several runners capable of finding the lead and making life difficult for those behind them.
Shameful brings the standout Richmond figure of 18.17 and arrives off a confidence-boosting win, while Dashing Darlene has been racing consistently and Adamant Andy possesses the track speed to be a major factor.
I’m keen to have something on Shameful, whose combination of recent form and proven speed over the course rates him as a key winning chance again.
| 4. Shameful (4) 4×521T: Dylan Goodger | |||
| Strong performance to post a big 5.5 lengths win at this track over 320m (18.17) beating Beef Kebab in Maiden on June 19. Cannot enthuse on this occasion. | |||
