CONSULATE finished midfield on debut at Ballarat in February and was immediately put away, and after a couple of decent trial performances here in Sydney, she was only denied by an impressive Demerzel at Canterbury when resuming.
With natural improvement this afternoon, this looks a perfect opportunity for her to go one better.

| Third race start. First start 6th of 11 at Ballarat 2yo Mdn-Sw on February 22 over 1100m, 7 len behind Medicinal carrying 56kg at $20. Went for a spell before returning 2nd of 8 at Canterbury 2yo F Mdn on June 17 over 1250m, slow going 1.75 len behind Demerzel carrying 55kg at $3.90. Progressive filly who looks sure to run well. | |||
Having shown improvement through a handful of trials prior to her debut, CLAUDEL mustered a fine performance behind Beneath The Rock at Warwick Farm in early June before producing a similar effort to finish second again at Canterbury.
Fitter third-up, she just requires appropriate luck in the run to figure in the finishing again this afternoon.

| Raced twice to date. When well in the market at debut, sat on speed throughout when 2nd of 7 at Warwick Farm 3yo F Mdn-Sw on June 3 over 1300m, slow going 2 len behind Beneath The Rock carrying 56kg at $3.30. Last start ran on from midfield; 2nd of 10 at Canterbury Super 3yo Mdn-Sw on June 17 over 1250m, slow going 3 len behind Gatwick with 55kg at $2.10. Can win with an ounce of luck from the wide gate. | |||
OUR HUNTRESS is yet to miss placing in six trips to the races since debuting, and after only just missing behind Dirty Summer at Hawkesbury first up in May, she was last seen filling the minors over 1300m at Warwick Farm.
This is arguably the weakest task she’s been set so far, and she has been kept up to the mark with a trial since her latest start.

| Third-up today and placed third-up previously. Resuming 2nd of 8 at Hawkesbury Super Mdn on May 14 over 1100m, slow going 1.5 len behind Dirty Summer carrying 61kg at $1.45. Second-up raced on the pace when 3rd of 7 at Warwick Farm 3yo F Mdn-Sw on June 3 over 1300m, on a slow track; 4 len behind Beneath The Rock carrying 56kg at $2.40. Big chance this time around. | |||
TEELG was only just denied in a pair of maiden sprints during her first preparation but returned to action with a fine performance to get up at the Sunshine Coast last month.
While she faces a rise in class this afternoon, she’s got plenty of upside, and it does look the next logical step for her to take.

| Second-up. First-up after 14 months favourite; won by 1.0 len at Sunshine Coast 4yo+ Mdn June 14 over 1200m on a heavy track defeating Old Faithful with 60kg at $1.65. Previously second-up 2nd of 8 at Sunshine Coast Mdn-Sw on April 6 2025 over 1000m, in the wet; 0.8 len behind A Touch From Fayt with 57.5kg at $4.60. In the mix. | |||
