Spain vs Argentina Predictions – World Cup Final
Spain are back on the World Cup Final stage for the first time since 2010 as they look to pull off an upset against the defending champs, Argentina.
Fans in New Jersey will be treated to some of the greatest football the world has to offer, a matchup littered with fascinating individual battles, starting first and foremost, with Lionel Messi and Rodri.
Messi has been a menace at finding space right through the tournament, and Spain will be tasked with closing down those pockets whilst simultaneously limiting free space to the likes of Lautaro Martinez.
The game style between these two sides almost promises this one to be close, and there is perhaps no better team better equipped to end Argentina’s run than a Spain side that has conceded only one goal across the entire tournament.
For Argentina, they’ll look to burst out of the gates and attack with purpose, something England did a great job of limiting up until the 85th minute.
As we saw in the Semi-Final, Argentina only needs 10 minutes and a few defensive lapses to strike and score quickly, so Spain need to ensure they don’t overcommit late in the game.
At the same time, Luis de la Fuente’s side implemented this very gameplan to perfection in their 2-0 win over France, and if they dominate possession and rely on their wingers to spread the field, they’ll be well on their way to winning their second World Cup.
