Former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Magomed Ankalaev is forging his pathway back to the title by headlining this fight night card in the UAE on Saturday night.
The 34 year old won the belt against Alex Pereira in March 2025, defeating the double champ by unanimous decision in dominant fashion.
He lost his UFC debut in 2018 against Paul Craig but then went 14 straight fights without losing including UFC gold in his first fight with Pereira.
Pereira avenged that loss just seven months later with a first round TKO victory against Akalaev and this is the first time we have seen him since.
Bogdan Guskov is ranked 10th in the UFC Light Heavyweight division which doesn’t seem like a huge test for someone trying to get a title fight like Ankalaev.
Like Ankalaev, Guskov suffered a submission loss when making his UFC debut back in 2023 but is since undefeated in five fights.
This includes finishes over Ryan Spann and Niita Krylov and a draw against former champion Jan Blachowicz in December 2025.
I think class will prevail in this match up and Ankalaev has too many pathways to victory for his lower ranked opponent.

Back to back wins leading into this has him back on track and another win would see him in contention for UFC gold.
Ramazan Temirov hails from Uzbekistan and has a record of 19-2 throughout his professional MMA career.
He had two first round knockout wins in RIZIN before entering the UFC where he has won both of his fights.
The market can not split these two and I’m confident the judges will be needed in a close three round contest.

Islam Dulatov is a 27 year old German welterweight who was born in Chechnya and is also a professional fashion model.

He is the middle of six brothers so you know he has wrestling capabilities and is a blue belt in BJJ.
Despite losing his first ever pro MMA fight, he comes into this fight on a 12 fight winning streak including a first round KO win against Adam Fugitt in his UFC debut in July 2025.
His opponent is Wellington Turman who has lost his last three in a row and may be on his last fight in the UFC if he doesn’t get a win.
