Daily Greyhound Tips – Saturday 1st August

Check out our Saturday Greyhound Tips for August 1st below, featuring Wentworth Park best bets.

Wentworth Park: Race 5
No. 8 Vodka And Ice

Vodka And Ice can return to winning form tonight at Wenty.

The black type winner hasn’t enjoyed the greatest of luck in recent weeks, but we know how good he can be at his best, and this is a decent drop in class from the Group 3 final we last saw him contesting in Melbourne.

I think he’ll get his chance in this less-than capacity field.

Should get a clear run from the wide draw. Wasn’t impressive last start but does have a great record at this track and distance, well placed and among the chances here.

Wentworth Park: Race 6
No. 4 My Cupcake

I’m keen to have something on My Cupcake in the sixth at Wentworth Park tonight.

She failed to beat a single chaser home here last week after being posted wide throughout, but My Cupcake’s form prior to that was excellent, and included three wins from four previous appearances.

With the benefit of an empty alley to her inside, I think she’ll be able to find her way forward tonight.

Did a good job two starts back at this track to win by 1.5 lengths in 29.88, beating Billy Ray’s Girl. Last start finished last on July 25 over 520m at this track behind Dennis Keeping beaten 11 lengths (30.19) in a NG. Others preferred.

Wentworth Park: Race 7
No. 8 Jungle Johnny

Jungle Johnny is back in a big way.

He’s always been a standout performer, but Jungle Johnny returned from a break here a fortnight ago to break the track record, setting the new standard at an incredible 28.86.

Any improvement in condition and he’ll take an absolute power of beating again.

Ran right away with it after running them ragged to make it two on the trot at this track over 520m (28.86). In hot form and expected to go close again.

Wentworth Park: Race 8
No. 6 Bull Market
Each Way

This is one of, if not the strongest race on the program, but I am happy to have Bull Market on top.

Bull Market has only made nine appearances at the race since debuting, but he has stamped himself as one to follow by winning four times, finishing the runner up a further two and finding form around some classy opposition in the process.

Box 6 is the knock but with early luck, he can be in this for a long way as well.

Good win last start as odds-on favourite by 5.5 lengths over 520m at this track in a handy 29.48, beating Turn Up Ace. Key chance again.
