The Winx Stakes final field for 2026 has been confirmed, and it’s a stellar field for the Group 1 feature this Saturday out of Randwick.
The Winx Stakes barrier draw had an impact on betting markets, most notably with Sheza Alibi drawing the inside barrier, which doesn’t suit the champion mare.

Winx Stakes Barrier Draw Winners & Losers
The biggest winner with the Winx Stakes barrier draw 2026 was $1.90 favourite and champion mare Autumn Glow, who gets an ideal run from barrier three.
The Chris Waller-trained mare will be able to dictate where she runs in the race, and with James McDonald in the saddle, she should get every opportunity to pull out around the turn and stake her claim.
Winx Stakes horses 2026 don’t come much better than her, and with Sheza Alibi drawing the rails, there was good early betting support for Autumn Glow. However, despite drawing unfavourably, Sheza Alibi has been well-backed.
The 4YO will need luck to get off the rails, and her chances all depend on how the field fans around the turn. If she gets on the back of a runner going forward, she could win. However, if she gets blocked for a run, Autumn Glow could already be off and gone.
A winner with the Winx Stakes barrier draw is Beiwacht, who draws barrier 4. He will likely sit just behind Autumn Glow and look to power past the favourite in the straight. The $18 odds are generous considering the map of this race.
What to Expect in the 2026 Winx Stakes
Punters should steer towards the favourites, but an upset wouldn’t surprise us. It’s a Group 1 race for a reason, and if Autumn Glow and Sheza Alibi aren’t ready to go, there are other horses who will be.
Runners like Beiwacht, Lady Shenandoah, and Idle Flyer can win in a fresh-up state, and the favourites could need a run under their belt with bigger targets in mind later in the spring.
However, class often rises to the top in the Group 1 Winx Stakes final field, and the team at Ladbrokes have every right to install them as outright favourites. Autumn Glow and Sheza Alibi could be the match race of the century, and we’re here for it.
It will be a fastly-run race, and a Waller-trained runner could set the pace, which will set it up nicely for Autumn Glow to power past them. Sheza Alibi and Beiwacht could battle it out for second.
